    摘要: The invention relates to a temperature-controlled, rotating, rotational symmetric heat exchanger, particularly for the pressing mechanism, drying mechanism or smoothing mechanism of a machine for producing web-like products such as paper webs or plastic films. The heat exchanger can be temperature-controlled preferably with fluids or vaporous heat transfer media or with heating involving electrical means. The aim of the invention is to improve a heat exchanger of the aforementioned type as to achieve surface hardnesses of far greater than 400-450 HV and to minimize the chemical/mechanical corrosion even at heat transfer capacities >80 kW/m. To this end, the heat exchanger is plamatized.

    摘要: An induction heating system for a thermal roller comprises a rotatable hollow roller jacket having flanges at opposite ends thereof, the flanges concentrically surrounding the axis of the roller jacket and the roller jacket defining an enclosed space, and an inductor arranged within the enclosed space and inductively coupled with the roller jacket, the inductor consisting of an inductor spool through which a current flows and a magnetic core formed by the roller jacket, the inductor spool comprising a plurality of elongated outer current conductors peripherally arrayed close to an inner surface of the roller jacket and extending parallel to the axis at least across the greatest surface width of the roller jacket, the inductive coupling with the roller jacket being adjustable in zones, and flanges concentrically surrounding the axis, the roller jacket flanges forming bearings for the inductor spool flanges.

    摘要: The invention relates to a calender bowl which can be heated by means of a heating medium that is in a liquid or gaseous state of matter. The calender bowl comprises a roll body (1) that is provided with peripheral bores (4) and flange journals (2, 3) comprising supply and discharge conduits for the heating medium. Thermal insulating bushes (8) are mounted on the end areas of the peripheral bores. The heating medium flows through the peripheral bores. The aim of the invention is to adapt the heat transfer from said bores to the lateral surface of the roll body to the respective heat requirements in such a way that the harmful measured differences stay within limits so that the product is not impaired. To this end, adjusting devices are allocated to the flange journals for controllably turning and/or axially displacing the insulating bushes.

    摘要: A heated calender roll at a predetermined operating temperature has a roll body having a cylindrical outer surface centered on an axis and formed radially inward from the surface with at least one axially extending passage, a pair of hub elements axially flanking and joined to the roll body, and at least one electrical heating element in the passage. A mass of heat-conducting metal in the passage has an outer surface bonded to but distinct from the roll body and an inner surface bonded to but distinct from the heating element. The metal has a melting point in excess of the operating temperature of the roll. The calender roll can be formed with a plurality of such passages each receiving a respective such electrical heating element and a respective mass of the heat-conducting metal. Alternately it can be formed with a single such passage receiving a plurality of such electrical heating elements and the mass of the heat-conducting metal. The mass can be a pure metal or a metallic alloy chosen for high thermal conductivity.
