摘要: A hydraulic mount assembly includes a pair of mounting members connected to each other through a hollow elastomeric body. The body is closed by a resilient diaphragm so as to form a cavity for damping liquid. A partition is provided to divide the fluid filled cavity into two distinct chambers. A primary chamber is formed between the partition and the interior wall of the body. A secondary chamber is formed between the partition and the interior wall of the diaphragm. The partition includes at least one orifice track connecting the two chambers. There is further provided a domed orifice plate in said primary chamber. The orifice within the orifice plate allows restricted fluid communication between the primary chamber and the flow passage in the partition. During operation, this orifice provides a passive tuning mechanism for the mount by lowering the dynamic rate at higher operating frequencies. This provides for a desirable softer, quieter mount at the higher frequencies and an improved balance of engine control/engine isolation in the mount.

摘要: A monotube shock absorber assembly includes a housing (20), a gas cup (32) slidably disposed in the interior (28) of the housing (20), and a piston (42) slidably disposed in the interior (28) of the housing (20) to define an oil compression chamber (48) between the piston (42) and the gas cup (32). A cushion (58) engages one of the piston (42) and the gas cup (32) and extends axially into the oil compression chamber (48) for intermittent contact with the other of the piston (42) and the gas cup (32). The cushion (58) is a resilient material and deforms in response to the cushion (58) contacting the other of the piston (42) and the gas cup (32). In a preferred embodiment, the cushion (58) defines a central opening (60) for decreasing the axial stiffness of the cushion (58) and engages the gas cup (32) for intermittent contact with the piston (42). In a preferred embodiment the cushion (58) presents an anchor (72) for retaining the cushion (58) against the piston (42) for intermittent contact with the gas cup (32).

摘要: A hydraulic mount assembly includes a pair of mounting members connected to each other through a hollow elastomeric body of natural or synthetic rubber. The body is closed by a resilient diaphragm so as to form a cavity for damping liquid. A partition or plate is provided to divide the fluid filled cavity into two distinct chambers. A primary chamber is formed between the partition and the interior wall of the hollow body. A secondary chamber is formed between the partition and the interior wall of the diaphragm. The partition includes at least two passages connecting the two chambers. A sliding gate extends across the entry to the passages. This gate is displaceable to direct the flow of fluid between the primary and secondary chambers through a selected passage or passages in the partition. A solenoid actuator mounted on the partition includes multiple electric coils that allow the positive positioning of the gate. A control circuit with onboard transducers is provided to monitor vehicle operating and road conditions. A microprocessor acts in response to the sensed conditions causing the necessary sequential energization of the series of coils.

摘要: A mounting system incorporating a hydraulic torque strut provides torsional damping and noise suppression of vehicle engine vibrations. The strut includes a first mount connected to the engine and a second mount connected to the frame of the vehicle. A rod rigidly connects the two mounts together. One or both of the mounts is a hydraulic mount. The hydraulic mount includes an elastomeric body that is connected to a mounting member and forms a cavity filled with damping liquid. An integral partition divides the cavity into two chambers. An orifice track in the partition provides fluid communication between the two chambers. Passage of damping liquid through the orifice track provides damping action. Further, in order to provide decoupling for vibration isolation and noise suppression, a spool-type decoupler is mounted for reciprocal movement in the opening in the partition.

摘要: A hydraulic mount assembly includes a pair of mounting members connected together through a hollow elastomeric body. This hollow body is closed by a resilient diaphragm so as to form a cavity for a damping liquid. A partition divides the cavity into a primary chamber formed between the partition and the hollow body and a secondary chamber formed between the partition and the diaphragm. The partition also includes a bypass track, a damping orifice track and a decoupler passage for providing fluid communication between the cambers. A decoupler is held for limited reciprocating movement in the decoupler opening. An actuator is provided for selectively releasing/disabling the decoupler and opening/closing the bypass track. In a first operative position, the actuator closes the bypass track and allows the decoupler to reciprocate. In a second operative position the actuator engages and disables the decoupler, seals the decoupler opening, and opens the bypass track. In a third operative position the actuator releases the decoupler to allow free reciprocating movement and the bypass track remains open.

A guiding sleeve is seated on the isolator and includes an upstanding annular wall forming a cavity in an upper surface of the guiding sleeve. A thrust plate is mounted on the Belleville spring and attached to the body.
