摘要： A walk-behind working machine has a traveling unit, a working unit, an engine, and an illumination section disposed forwardly of the engine for projecting light. A cover member collectively covers the engine and the illumination section. The cover member has a light transmitting section for transmitting therethrough light projected by the illumination section. The light transmitting section or a portion of the cover member near the light transmitting section has at least one through-hole through which heat generated by at least one of the engine and the illuminating section is radiated.

Cover member collectively covers the engine and illumination section and includes a light transmitting section which passes therethrough light projected by the illumination section and has a through-hole for letting out hot air. Battery is positioned on a blower housing, and the illumination section is provided over the battery. Battery locking member for holding the battery in a battery holder is formed of an insulative resin material, and the illumination section is mounted on the locking member. The locking member is hinged at one end to the holder. Partition wall is provided between the engine and battery for blocking heat transferred from the engine toward the battery.

摘要： In a snow-removing machine, an expandable and contractible regulating mechanism is coupled between a steering handlebar of a machine body including a snow-removing section and a drive section capable of being turned relative to the machine body about a wheel driving shaft, and is capable of regulating the level of the snow-removing section relative to the drive section. The expandable and contractible regulating mechanism is comprised of a cylinder connected to the machine body, a piston which divides the inside of the cylinder into a first chamber and a second chamber, a piston rod coupled to the piston and connected to the drive section, a communication passage permitting communication between the first and second chambers, and an on-off valve for opening and closing the communication passage. A high-pressure gas is filled in the first and second chambers, so that the expansion and compression of the high-pressure gas is permitted upon closing of the on-off valve. Thus, during a snow-removing operation of the snow-removing machine, vibration applied to the drive section can be absorbed utilizing the expandable and contractible regulating mechanism for regulating the level of the snow-removing section.

摘要： A power transmission system for use in a snow-removing machine has a drive shaft having a first end for supporting a snow blower having a forward end and a rearward end. The drive shaft has second end disposed opposite the first end and for extension from the forward end of the snow blower. An auger transmission is connected to the second end of the drive shaft and has an auger shaft for undergoing rotation in accordance with rotation of the drive shaft. An auger is mounted on the auger shaft for rotation therewith. An overload protecting mechanism is disposed between the snow blower and the auger transmission for preventing application of a power overload between the drive shaft and the auger.

摘要： An optical disk apparatus which records/reproduces data on/from a plurality of types of optical disks. The optical disk apparatus has a plurality of laser diodes. Two laser light rays emanating from two laser diodes are coupled together by means of a coupling prism. The thus-coupled laser light is radiated onto an optical disk. A photodetector is disposed in close proximity to the coupling prism. The coupling prism guides, to the photodetector, a laser light component of at least one laser light ray of the two laser light to be coupled together, the component having not been radiated onto the optical disk on an optical path. Laser light which is not radiated onto the optical disk on the optical path includes diffracted light other than a main beam emanating from the laser diode or laser beam which has not been subjected to coupling at the coupling surface of the coupling prism. When laser light for a CD is caused to pass through the coupling surface and laser light for a DVD is reflected by the same, the CD laser light which is reflected from the coupling surface or the DVD laser light which passes through the coupling surface is guided to the photodetector. The power of a main beam of the laser light is controlled in accordance with the power of the laser light detected by the photodetector.
