摘要: A zoom-type viewfinder device which has a multi-sectioned viewfinder cam which rotates in connection with the zooming of a photographic zoom lens. The viewfinder cam has a cam, with at least one cam bevel, which is divided into a first cam component and a second cam component. The first cam component and the second cam component are joined to connect the respective cam bevels to form a cam bevel which wraps more than once around of the cylinder of the viewfinder cam. As the viewfinder cam is manufactured in multiple segments, each segment can be removed from its forming die in the longitudinal direction of the viewfinder cam, thereby providing smooth zooming and a blur free viewfinder image. Also, the inclinations of cam bevels, which are formed on the viewfinder cam, can be made more gradual, which reduces the required driving force. Therefore, a more compact motor can be used, resulting in a more compact camera. Moreover, the power consumption required by the motor is reduced, increasing the life of the camera battery.

In addition, each of the plurality of visual field frames is positioned on one of a plurality of visual field frame display units. The plurality of visual field frame display units have overlapping regions and are positioned on a viewfinder mask member. The viewfinder mask member is movable in the optical path. The overlapping portions of the visual field frame display units reduce an amount of movement necessary to move the viewfinder mask member to position the visual field frames within the optical path.

摘要: A camera having a film counter according to the present invention includes a display device which displays information related to frames of a film; a detector which detects that a battery has been replaced while the camera is loaded with the film; a volatile memory which stores information related to a number of remaining unexposed frames of the film; and a controller which causes the display device to display the number of remaining unexposed frames according to the information stored in the volatile memory until the battery is replaced, and switches the display device to display a frame number in a forward count display, in which a frame number increases for each exposure, in response to a signal generated by the detector upon replacement of the battery.

摘要: A camera having a lens barrier unit that opens without encountering obstructions in response to the operation of an operating member and without increasing the size of the lens barrel of the camera. The lens barrier unit covers the front surface of a photographic lens in a closed position, and moves clear of the front surface of the photographic lens in an open position. A sliding member, which is a separate member from the operating member, mechanically drives the lens barrier unit to an open position in response to the movement of an operating member by means of the operation for photographic preparation (e.g., when the camera is switched ON), and drives the lens barrier unit to a closed position, by coupling to the movement of the photographic lens unit while moving from the extended position to the retracted position (e.g., when the camera is switched OFF). The camera may include a finder optical system for visually recognizing an image of an object, with the sliding member disposed in the vicinity of a film aperture. The slide member is disposed in a face-to-face position to the finder optical system with the film aperture being interposed therebetween.

摘要: A compact camera apparatus having an improved display device and circuit mounting board layout within the camera body in relationship to other components to achieve a more compact and efficient space camera utilization. In one embodiment of the camera, a display unit is located on the upper surface of the camera body, and has a portion thereof, such as its drive mechanism at least partially positioned in a space formed between a light projection unit and light receiving of the camera's rangefinder device. In another embodiment, the camera has a mounting board of the required size for holding constituent control circuit components of the camera located in the camera body with attention to the location of the board in relationship to the cartridge compartment and other camera components to provide for a more compact design. A rigid mounting board is used as the mounting board and is located and incorporated within the camera body at the upper, inside portion of the camera body, in contact with the upper end of a reverse loading type cartridge compartment, and extending over a photographic lens barrel and to the upper side of a spool compartment. At least one or more camera components is arranged in a vacant space formed between the mounting board, the photographic lens barrel and the spool compartment. Furthermore, with the rangefinder device and a photometer device both mounted on the mounting board, a portion of the viewfinder unit is located on the lower side of the mounting board.

摘要: A lens barrel having first and second lens groups and first and second tubes. The first tube has first and second guide grooves to respectively guide the first and second groups in an optical direction. The second tube has first and second cam grooves to respectively guide the first and second lens groups, in conjunction with the first and second guide grooves, for focusing and zooming operations. A first collapsing use groove extends substantially perpendicular to the optical axis from an end of the second guide groove that is closer to an image surface to maintain the second lens group in a stationary position on the optical axis when the first lens group is collapsed toward the second lens group and when the first lens group is extended into a wide state. A second collapsing use groove extends substantially perpendicular to the optical axis from an end of the second cam groove that is closer to the image surface and overlaps the first collapsing use groove to perform the same functions as the first collapsing use groove. The first cam groove is inclined with respect to the optical axis and the second cam groove includes a wide state focusing portion extending substantially parallel to the first cam groove from an end of the second collapsing use groove portion to guide the second lens group uniformly with a movement of the first lens group for focusing of the first and second lens groups in the wide state. The second cam groove above the wide state focusing portion is a stepped groove having alternating zooming portions and focusing portions, wherein the zooming portions are inclined from the optical axis and the focusing portions are substantially perpendicular to the optical axis.
