摘要： A laminating method for forming a laminated layer in the form of a transparent film on a surface of an image on a printed object includes the steps of transferring a laminate having a laminated layer and a heat resistive base material layer to the surface of the printed object for laminating to form a laminated printed object, and a rear edge peeling step of peeling off the heat resistive base material layer from a rear edge portion of the laminated printed object by exerting an active force on the rear edge of the printed object in the carrying direction. Subsequently to the rear edge peeling step, a front edge peeling step peels off the heat resistive base material layer from a front edge of the laminated printed object.

摘要： An image forming process comprises the steps of conducting recording on a recording medium provided with an image-receiving layer and laminating a thermoplastic film onto the image-receiving layer to smooth the surface of the thermoplastic film by a heating and pressurizing device and to bond the back side of the thermoplastic film onto the image-receiving layer. An image forming apparatus comprises an ink-jet head for conducting recording on a recording medium, a laminating section for laminating a thermoplastic polymer onto a recorded recording medium, and a heating and pressurizing device for heating and pressurizing the thermoplastic film to smooth the surface and to bond the back side of the thermoplastic film onto the image-receiving layer.

Emulsion polymers included in the emulsions may have different glass transition temperatures. A laminating method using the laminating film includes the steps of press-bonding the laminating film to a printed matter at a temperature not less than the glass transition temperature of the emulsion polymer with the higher glass transition temperature, and separating the laminating film from the printed matter thereafter.

The laminating film of the present invention comprises a base material, and an image protection layer formed on the base material and having at least an adhesion layer capable of adhering to an image surface, wherein the base material has a thickness ranging from 1.5 to 6.0 &mgr;m and has an arithmetic average roughness (Ra) of not more than 50 nm and a ten point height of roughness profile (Rz) ranging from 1200 nm to 2000 nm according to JIS B0601.
