    摘要： Disclosed is a photosensitive material for the electrophotography, which comprises a dispersion of a charge-generating pigment in a charge-transporting medium composed mainly of a polyvinyl carbazole resin, wherein a perylene pigment represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 stand for a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or aryl group, is dispersed and incorporated as the charge-generating pigment in an amount of 1 to 40 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the polyvinyl carbazole resin and a halogeno-p-benzoquinone is further incorporated in an amount of 1 to 60 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the polyvinyl carbazole resin.

    摘要： Disclosed is a magnetic brush development method comprising supplying a two-component type developer comprising a mixture of magnetic carrier particles with toner particles chargeable by friction with the magnetic carrier particles onto a developing sleeve consisting of a non-magnetic sleeve having a magnet installed therein to form a magnetic brush of the developer, and bringing the magnetic brush in sliding contact with the surface of a photosensitive material having an electrostatic latent image formed thereon in the state where a bias voltage is applied between the photosensitive material and the sleeve, whereby a toner image corresponding to the electrostatic latent image is formed, wherein the two-component type developer comprises a ferrite carrier and electroscopic toner particles at a weight ratio of from 4/1 to 20/1.

    摘要： In an electrostatic photographic process comprising subjecting an electrostatic photographic photosensitive plate to the combination of negative charging, positive charging and imagewise exposure to form an electrostatic latent image of a positive polarity, said electrostatic photographic photosensitive plate having such charging characteristics that a photosensitive layer can be positively charged by sequential negative corona charging and positive corona charging and positive charging is rendered substantially impossible by irradiation with light, and then subjecting the so treated photosensitive plate to positive charging a predetermined number of times, whereby an electrostatic latent image is formed the predetermined number of times by imagewise exposure conducted once, if a zinc oxide-resin dispersion is used for the photosensitive layer of the photosensitive plate and predetermined amounts of a triphenylmethane basic dye and a silicone oil are incorporated in the photosensitive layer, the time required for negative charging can be shortened, and the charge potential at the time of positive charging can be increased and accumulation of the residual potential after irradiation with light can be reduced.

    摘要： A developing method for forming a toner image of high quality which comprises supplying a two-component developer composed of a mixture of magnetic carrier particles and toner particles chargeable by frictional contact with the magnetic carrier particles onto a development sleeve comprised of a non-magnetic sleeve and provided therein, a magnet having alternately and circumferentially arranged magnetic poles of different polarities to thereby form a magnetic brush of the developer, and bringing the surface of a photosensitive drum bearing a latent electrostatic image into frictional contact with the magnetic brush while a bias voltage is applied between the photosensitive drum and the sleeve thereby to form a toner image corresponding to the latent electrostatic image; characterized in that a brush cutting doctor is disposed on the non-magnetic sleeve so that the tip of the doctor is positioned nearly centrally between two magnetic poles of different polarities, and the development is carried out while moving the photo-sensitive drum and the development sleeve in the same direction at the site of frictional contact and the concentration (Ct, %) of the toner in the developer satisfies the following equation ##EQU1## wherein Sc is the specific surface area (cm.sup.2 /g) of the carrier, St is the specific surface area (cm.sup.2 /g) of the toner, and k is a number of from 0.80 to 1.14.
