摘要: To provide a bill counter that does not require designation of detectors effective for authenticity/counterfeit determination corresponding to counterfeit preventive countermeasures and yet enables counting only by designation of kinds of bills issued by the nations concerned. The present invention is a bill counter comprising, a bill type memory means wherein kinds of bills and detector groups selected among the plural kinds of detectors with different determining principles are related with each other and memorized in advance, and a bill type selecting means for selecting the bill types memorized in the bill type memory means as counting objective bills, characterized by that corresponding to the selection of bills by the bill type selecting means, the corresponding detector groups memorized in advance in the bill type memory means are specified, and authenticity/counterfeit determination is conducted by the specified detector groups.

摘要: A bill recognizing and counting apparatus includes a feeding and transporting mechanism; a line sensor to scan an image of the bills; a denomination determination table in which denomination recognition data is registered for at least one currency; a denomination recognizing unit that recognizes a denomination of the currency by referring to the table; a processing-mode switching unit that switches between a denomination mode and a different currency recognition mode; a different-currency recognizing unit that compares a difference in size between a first bill and each bill of a second bill and thereafter with an allowable range, and recognizes whether the each bill of the second bill and thereafter is of the same denomination as the first bill; and a control unit that guides the bill being determined as a different denomination to a rejecting unit or stops the feeding and transporting mechanism.

摘要: A banknote sorting and bundling apparatus (1) includes a banknote processing device (2) including a stacker (16), and a banknote bundling device (3) including a bundling unit (22) and a bundling-side stacking unit (21). The apparatus (1) further includes a banknote transport unit (13) that transports a banknote deposited in a hopper unit (11) through a banknote transport path (18) including a first transport path (18A), a second transport path (18B), and a third transport path (18C), a diverting unit (13A) for diverting the banknote being transported through the banknote transport path (18) to the stacker (16) or the bundling-side stacking unit (21), and a post-bundling transport unit (26) for dispensing a bundle of banknotes bundled by the bundling unit (22) to a bundle dispensing outlet (23) provided near the hopper unit (11). When one hundred bundling-object-banknotes stacked in the bundling-side stacking unit (21) have been bundled, the post-bundling transport unit 26 dispenses the bundle to the banknote dispensing outlet (23) provided near the hopper unit (11). Consequently, work efficiency of an operator is improved.

摘要: A bill recognizing and counting apparatus includes an operation unit that receives setting of bill processing modes including a denomination mode, a counting mode, a different-denomination recognition mode, and an authenticity determination mode; a feeding and transporting mechanism; and a control unit that performs control for changing a processing speed according to the bill processing mode. When the bill processing mode is in the counting mode, the different-denomination recognition mode, or the authenticity determination mode, the control unit increases the processing speed by setting the feeding and transporting mechanism to a higher speed than the speed set in the denomination mode. The increase in speed is in accordance with a reduced time necessary to process a reduced amount of data associated with the denomination mode.

摘要: A bill discriminating and counting apparatus in which a plurality of bills with different sizes are filled between side hopper members and fed into a transport path by a feeding mechanism. The feeding mechanism comprises a plurality of rollers disposed in a bilaterally symmetrical state. The plurality of rollers are arranged so that, when a distance between the side hopper members is adjusted according to the longitudinal dimension of a bill with the maximum dimension in the longitudinal direction and a bill with the minimum dimension in the longitudinal direction is disposed at a position where the bill is brought into contact with one of the side hopper members, at least a part of the rollers installed on the opposite side of the side hopper member where the bill is brought into contact therewith is brought into contact with the bill. Also, the feeding mechanism comprises a guide member guiding the bill to the inlet of the transport path. The guide member comprises a guide surfaces formed so that the opening area thereof is gradually increased toward the both ends thereof, and the guide surfaces are formed so that the opening area thereof is converged to zero from the insert port toward the inlet of the transport path.

摘要: A paper sheet handling machine 1 comprises a casing 92 and at least two stacking units 30, 40 provided in the casing 92. Each stacking unit 30, 40 is configured to stack therein paper sheets respectively taken in the casing 92 by a take-in unit 10. From among the paper sheets transported by a transport unit 20, the paper sheets, each judged to be stored in the stacking unit 30 or 40 by a recognition unit 28, are diverted from the transport unit 20 and fed into the stacking unit 30 or 40, by each diverter 60, 62. A reject unit 50 is connected with the transport unit 20 on the downstream side of the diverters 60, 62. To the reject unit 50, the paper sheets that are not diverted from the transport unit 20 by the respective diverters 60, 62 are fed.
