摘要: A scanning mechanism for vehicle-mounted radar comprises a first noncircular gear attached to an input shaft, a second noncircular gear meshed with the first noncircular gear, and a connecting link having one end connected to an eccentric pin provided on the second noncircular gear and another end connected to an antenna transmission/reception section, thereby allowing the antenna transmission/reception section to effect swinging motion. Angular accuracy in a frontal direction is improved by delaying the scanning velocity in the frontal direction.

摘要: In a non-circular gear pair comprising two non-circular gears maintained engaged, those gears have first and second intermeshing rotation parts in such a manner that the first intermeshing rotation part forms an intermeshing pitch curve with which the speed of rotation is given to one of the two gears which changes exponentially with respect to the speed of rotation of the other non-circular gear, and the second intermeshing rotation part is extended between the start and en-d points of the first intermeshing rotation part so as to form an intermeshing pitch curve with which the rotation speed ratio and the angular acceleration ratio change continuously, whereby the rotation speed and the angular acceleration change continuously throughout the first and second intermeshing rotation parts including the connecting points thereof.

摘要: A driving apparatus with a speed changer for a bicycle using a pair of non-circular gears for performing an exponential function angular velocity modulation for the speed changer. The driving apparatus is provided with a primary angular velocity modulating mechanism having a first non-circular gear fixed to a first rotary shaft receiving driving power and a second non-circular gear supported to a second rotary shaft, a secondary angular velocity modulating mechanism having the second non-circular gear and a third non-circular gear supported to a third rotary shaft generating driving power through a one-way clutch, and a spring for increasing a relative angle between the first and the third rotary shafts around the second rotary shaft. The driving apparatus performs an exponential function continuous increasing mode or an exponential function continuous decreasing mode using the primary and secondary angular velocity modulating mechanisms and transmits only one-directional rotation to the third rotary shaft (output shaft) through interposition of the one-way clutch. The driving apparatus continuously changes the angular velocity ratio of a rear wheel shaft with respect to a pedal crank shaft in a substantially stepless manner.

摘要: A gas generator for inflatable vehicle safety bags comprises a housing defining three independent chambers each containing a charge of gas generating agent in a sealed wrapper surrounding an electrical ignition squib, and layers of heat absorbing wire gauze, a porous plate, and sintered filter sheets overlying the charge. The open top of each chamber is covered by an apertured diffuser, and an apertured deflector plate is secured to the housing above the diffusers. Generated gases passing through the apertures in the deflector plate inflate a relatively small inner knee bag, and laterally diverted gases inflate a larger outer torso bag surrounding the knee bag.The inflation impact may be minimized by delaying the ignition of one or more chambers relative to the other(s), and by igniting only selected chambers in response to low speed collisions.
