摘要： An ink jet print head is provided having a nozzle forming substrate with a plurality of nozzles formed therein. Vibrators formed on a piezoelectric transducer disposed within the ink jet print head opposite the nozzles are independently drivable. A first gap is formed between the nozzle forming substrate and a vibrator in a region adjacent the nozzles. A second gap is formed between the nozzle forming substrate and a vibrator at a region away from the nozzles having a different dimension than the first gap.

摘要： An ink jet print head in which a portion along which both piezoelectric conversion elements and a nozzle forming member are adhesively fixed is positioned at least a distance exceeding that of a stress concentration region toward a base portion of the piezoelectric conversion elements from a vibrating fulcrum of the piezoelectric conversion elements. As a result, any thermally induced stress concentration in the piezoelectric conversion elements is diffused over the adhesively fixed stress that acts backward of such stress concentration region. This prevents each piezoelectric conversion element from being deformed, thereby contributing to eliminating variations in the nozzle gap.

摘要： A method of driving an ink jet recording head comprising the steps of: retreating a vibrating plate to a predetermined position from a nozzle opening at such a speed as to allow a meniscus at the nozzle opening to be jetted from the nozzle opening while applying a drive voltage to a piezoelectric vibrating element; holding the vibrating plate at the position; and advancing the vibrating plate toward the nozzle opening when the meniscus has returned to a position 1/3 or more of the farthest retreat position thereof. As a result, a pressure chamber contracted to thereby apply pressure to ink when inertial stream of the ink become stable and heads toward the nozzle opening, producing an ink droplet to be jetted at a predetermined speed irrespective of the position of the meniscus.

摘要： In an ink jet apparatus for manufacturing a color filter 1, ink jet heads 22 having a plurality of nozzle 27 are disposed in a linear manner. Filter element member is ejected to a motherboard 12 from a plurality of nozzles 27 four times so as to form the filter element 3 in a predetermined thickness. By doing this, it is possible to prevent difference in the thickness in a plurality of the filter elements 3 and to equalize light transparency in planar manner. Thus, in an ejecting apparatus, a color filter can be formed in more common way at low cost and more efficiently. Also, it is possible to provide an ejecting apparatus which can equalize factors such as electrooptical characteristics of the electrooptical members, color displaying characteristics by the liquid crystal apparatuses, and illuminating characteristics by an EL surface.

摘要： First internal electrode layers and second internal electrode layers are alternately laminated in a substrate while sandwiching piezoelectric layers therebetween. The first internal electrode layers are exposed to at least a first end face of the substrate, and the second internal electrode layers are exposed to at least a second end face of the substrate which is opposite to the first end face. A first external electrode layer is formed on the first end face and a third end face connecting the first end face and the second end face. The first external electrode layer is electrically connected to the first internal electrode layers. A second external electrode layer is formed on at least the second end face and the third end face. The second external electrode layer is electrically connected to the second internal electrode layers, and is electrically independent from the first external electrode layer. The first external electrode layer and the first internal electrode layers are to be divided by slits extending from the first end face to form a plurality of piezoelectric elements arrayed in a first direction. A part of the first external electrode layer and a part of the second external electrode layer are adjacent in the first direction on the third end face.

摘要： A jetting head is provided with a nozzle orifice, a pressure chamber communicated with the nozzle orifice, and a piezoelectric element which is deformable to cause pressure fluctuation to liquid contained in the pressure chamber. A drive signal generator simultaneously generates a plurality of drive signals, each provided with waveform elements including at least one drive pulse in every unit jetting cycle. The drive pulse deforms the piezoelectric element to cause such pressure fluctuation as to eject a liquid droplet from the nozzle orifice. A switcher selectively supplies at least one of the waveform elements included in one of the drive signals to the piezoelectric element. A switch controller controls a selective supply operation of the switcher in accordance with amount data which indicates an amount of the liquid droplet to be ejected. A time period in which the drive pulse is generated in one of the drive signal and that in another one of the drive signals overlap at least partly.

At least one vibrator unit including a fixation base, and piezoelectric vibrators arranged on a first face of the fixation base such that first ends of the piezoelectric vibrators are fixed thereon and opposite free ends overhang a second face of the fixation base. The vibrator unit is accommodated in the casing such that the piezoelectric vibrators extend through the through hole of the supporting base and the free ends thereof abut against the second surface of the elastic plate, and such that the second face of the fixation base is bonded onto the second face of the supporting base.
