Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed subject matter provide a full-color pixel arrangement for a device, the full-color pixel arrangement including a plurality of sub-pixels, each having an emissive region of a first color, where the full-color pixel arrangement comprises emissive regions having exactly one emissive color that is a red-shifted color of a deep blue sub-pixel of the plurality of sub-pixels. Embodiments of the disclosed subject matter may also provide a full-color pixel arrangement for a device, the full-color pixel arrangement including a plurality of sub-pixels, each having an emissive region of a first color, where the full-color pixel arrangement comprises emissive regions having exactly one emissive color, and where the plurality of sub-pixels comprise a light blue sub-pixel, a deep blue sub-pixel, a red sub-pixel, and a green sub-pixel.

Abstract: OLEDs containing a stacked hybrid architecture including a phosphorescent organic emissive unit and two fluorescent organic emissive units are disclosed. The stacked hybrid architecture includes a plurality of electrodes and a hybrid emissive stacked disposed between at least two of the electrodes. The stack contains at least three emissive units and at least two charge generation layers. At least one of the three emissive units is a phosphorescent organic emissive unit and at least two of the three emissive units are fluorescent organic emissive units. More specifically, the two fluorescent organic emissive units may be blue organic emissive units that emit light from the same or different color regions.

Abstract: Methods of operation and devices are provided in which the operation of a full-color display is modified based upon historical luminance data that indicates an intensity at which at least one sub-pixel of the device is driven over a period of time. An expected degradation level of one or more pixel elements in the device is calculated based upon the luminance data, and video signals received by the device are modified based upon the expected degradation level to reduce image sticking and/or other undesirable effects in the device.
