Abstract: According to examples of the present disclosure, a method is provided to perform data refreshing of an application. The method may comprise registering a first view and a second view of the application to a group to which both the first view and the second view belong. The first view may be associated with a first data refresh function that is invocable to refresh data shown on the first view, and the second view with a second data refresh function that is invocable to refresh data shown on the second view. The method may further comprise, in response to determination that data refreshing is required for the first view in the group, performing data refreshing of the first view and the second view in the group by invoking the first function associated with the first view. Further, the method may comprise, in response to determination that data refreshing is also required for the second view in the group, performing data refreshing of the second view by invoking the second function associated with the second view.

Abstract: A method for a processor to provide a chart of a performance metric in a collection interval includes creating regions by dividing the collection interval into regions of increasingly smaller time intervals and determining a mean and a variance for each region based on data points in that region, sorting the regions by their variances and means, and processing the sorted regions. Processing the sorted regions includes removing any child region when its parent region has a variance that substantially represents the child region, and replacing any two neighboring or intersecting regions with a merged region comprising the two neighboring or intersecting regions when the merged region has a variance that substantially represents the two neighboring or intersecting regions. The method further includes generating the chart by visually indicating highest ranking regions by variance in the chart and displaying the chart or transmitting the chart over a computer network.

Abstract: A method to present information associated with a group of virtual components in a virtualized environment includes collecting a first resource usage data and a second resource usage data associated with a virtual component of the group of virtual components. In response to a region of the graphical representation associated with a difference between the first resource usage data and the second resource usage data exceeding a threshold, the method also includes collecting first graphical representation rendering information to render the first resource usage data as a first graphic in the graphical representation, collecting second graphical representation rendering information to render the second resource usage data as a second graphic in the graphical representation, and collecting third graphical representation rendering information including a reduction factor to reduce the region in the graphical representation to a third graphic in the graphical representation.

Abstract: A method is provided for a plug-in manager in a virtual machine (VM) system to install or update a plug-in at a web client server in the VM system. The plug-in extends the web client server with a user interface element to interact with a management entity implemented as a VM in the VM system.
