摘要: A system, method, and computer program product for improving physical lock acquisition for database transaction logs are described herein. In an embodiment, the method operates by receiving a request for a transaction log page and determining whether a requested log page is newly-allocated or already exists. A determination is made regarding whether the last log page is being modified. A physical lock is taken on the requested log page when it has been determined that the requested log page is not newly-allocated and that the last log page is not being modified. Operations on the last log page are synchronized without a physical lock when it is determined that the requested log page is newly-allocated or that the last log page is being modified.

摘要: The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for power supply control as well as an electronic device. The method comprises: detecting that the first device is connected with the second device via the first physical interface, when the first device is in the unconnected state; determining whether the connection between the first and second devices satisfies a first predetermined condition or not, so as to obtain a first determination result; switching the first device from the unconnected state to the first connected state when the first determination result indicates that the connection satisfies the first predetermined condition; obtaining power supply requirement information of the second device that indicates whether the first device is required to supply power to the second device or not; and controlling the power supply to the second device via the first physical interface based on the power supply requirement information.

摘要: A distributed database system providing data and space management methodology. In one embodiment a system for allocating resources amongst a plurality of database servers sharing resources comprises: an input module for receiving user input for allocating resources shared amongst a plurality of database servers and establishing thresholds for utilization of resources at each database server; a monitoring module at each database server for monitoring local resource utilization at each database server and sending a request for balancing resources to a second database server when local resource utilization reaches an established threshold at a first database server; and a load balancing module for receiving the request for balancing resources and determining whether to adjust resources allocated to the first database server and the second database server in response to the request.
