Abstract: A user device receives system information block data from a cell. The user device obtains, from the system information block data, cell metadata that includes a cellular parameter. The user device parses the cell metadata to identify the cellular parameter. The cellular parameter includes an upper layer indicator element, a public land mobile network (PLMN) information list element, and a network capability indicator element. The user device determines, based on the cellular parameter, that the cell is of a particular cell type of a plurality of cell types, and that the cell has a particular capability of a plurality of types of capabilities. The user device performs an action based on the particular cell type or the particular capability.

Abstract: A network device implements a control node that receives an indication of a session associated with a user equipment (UE), wherein the network device is connected to a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, and the LTE network is interconnected with a Next Generation (Next Gen) Network. The control node determines one or more parameters associated with at least one of: a relative traffic loading of the LTE network and the Next Gen Network, a quantity of first cells within the LTE network and a quantity of second cells within the Next Gen Network, a movement status of the UE, a quantity of data associated with the session, or a latency sensitivity of the session. The control node causes the session to be selectively routed to the UE via either the LTE network or the Next Gen Network, or via both the LTE network and the Next Gen Network, based on the one or more determined parameters.

Abstract: A system receives, from a user equipment, a request for access to a wireless communication network and identifies, based on the request, baseline radio frequency (RF) response information associated with the user equipment. The system obtains dynamic RF response information associated with the user equipment and authenticates, based on the dynamic RF response information and the baseline RF response information, the user equipment. The system thereby grants the user equipment access to the wireless communication network and determines context information associated with the user equipment. The system generates, based on the baseline RF response information and the context information, user equipment profile information and sends, to a base station associated with the wireless communication network, the user equipment profile information to facilitate access to the wireless communication network by the user equipment.

Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide for intelligent differentiated retransmissions in Radio Access Networks (RANs), such as Fifth Generation New Radio (5G-NR) networks, to provide consistent low latency for different service requirements. A network device determines if consistent low latency is required for a communication session requested by a user equipment (UE) device. The network device selects, based on the determining, retransmission settings for the communication session and sends the retransmission settings to an access station of a radio access network (RAN).

Abstract: A device may determine a coverage area associated with a base station. The device may determine a handover weight associated with one or more user equipments (UEs) connected to the base station in the coverage area, wherein the handover weight indicates a degree of mobility of the one or more UEs. The device may identify a geographic region associated with the coverage area and may determine information concerning the geographic region that includes information concerning one or more roads in the geographic region. The device may determine a mobility rating associated with the coverage area based on the handover weight or the information concerning the geographic region. The device may select a beam management profile based on the mobility rating and may send the beam management profile to a different device to allow the different device to control the base station according to the beam management profile.
