Abstract: Systems and methods described herein allow mobile network operators to provide an adaptive quality of service (QoS) approach for application providers. A network device in a core network receives a QoS monitoring report based on QoS monitoring by an access station. The QoS monitoring report includes data for QoS parameters for network services in a default QoS flow supporting a protocol data unit (PDU) session. Based on the QoS monitoring report, the network device determines if the default QoS flow supports a required service level for the PDU session. When the network device determines that the default QoS flow does not support the required service level for the PDU session, the network device automatically activates a dedicated QoS flow to support the PDU session with the required service level.

Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a user plane congestion control service is provided. The service may analyze congestion information of user plane traffic in data sessions associated with a plurality of end devices. The service may include selecting, based on the analyzing, configuration parameters for uplink/downlink traffic mapped to one or more user class values of the end devices. The service may include generating a data session update indicating a modification to the configuration parameters for a user class value.

Abstract: Techniques for packet flow description (PDF) management are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed comprising receiving, by a network exposure function (NEF), a packet flow description (PFD) management request via an application function (AF), the PFD management request, the PFD management request comprising application identification information identifying an application, using, by the NEF, the application identification information to identify a set of unified data repositories (UDRs) affected by the PFD management request, and instructing, by the NEF, at least one UDR of the set of UDRs to make a PFD change to the identified application's application data in accordance with the PFD management request.

Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which an inter-operator mobility service is provided. The service may provide provisioning decisions and configurations that may include core devices that are shared between users of a first entity and users of a second entity, or are dedicated to the users of the second entity to support a network slice and/or access to an application service for end devices associated with the second entity. The service may manage access and use of radio frequencies associated with the first and second entities based on subscription information and location of the end devices associated with first and second entities. The service may further include enabling inter-network handovers associated with end devices associated with end devices associated with the second entity.

Abstract: A messaging platform may send, based on a query, information identifying one or more virtual assistants to a user device. The messaging platform may receive, from the user device, a response identifying a particular virtual assistant, of the one or more virtual assistants, wherein the virtual assistant is associated with an organization. The monitoring platform may send, to the user device, information related to the particular virtual assistant and may communicate, via the particular virtual assistant, with the user device via a rich communications services (RCS) communication session. The messaging platform may receive, from another device associated with the organization, a request to communicate with the user device and may convert the request into an RCS message. The messaging platform may send, via a server device, the RCS message to the user device to allow the user device to perform one or more actions.

Abstract: A network device, implementing a network function, receives a network slice request from a user equipment device (UE) that includes a requested network slice set in a network. The network device determines a first set of allowed network slices for the UE based on at least one of first network slices supported by a Radio Access Network (RAN), second network slices supported by the network function, third network slices to which the UE subscribes, or fourth network slices configured by a Network Slice Selection Function (NSSF) in the network. The network device obtains historical behavior data associated with the UE, and determines a second set of allowed network slices for the UE based on the first set and the historical behavior data associated with the UE. The network device returns the second set of allowed network slices to the UE.

Abstract: A session border manager (SBM) may receive a session initiation protocol (SIP) request for a session or a service involving a first user equipment (UE) that is subscribed to a first network and a second UE, that is subscribed to a second network, wherein the SIP request indicates a service type of the session or the service. The SBM may determine, based on the service type, a subnetwork of the second network that is to facilitate the session or the service, wherein the subnetwork is one subnetwork, of a plurality of subnetworks, of the second network that is designated to manage communications that are associated with the service type. The SBM may transmit the SIP request to the subnetwork to cause the subnetwork to initiate the session or the service with the second UE. The SBM may receive, from the subnetwork, a response to the SIP request.

Abstract: A device can determine that a sender user equipment connected to a network has been authenticated. The device can cause another device associated with the network to provide configuration information to the sender user equipment after determining that the sender user equipment has been authenticated. The device can receive an RCS message from the sender user equipment after causing the other device to provide the configuration information. The device can determine a capability of a set of receiver user equipment utilizing capability information stored in a data structure. The device can selectively provide the RCS message to the set of receiver user equipment utilizing the non-IMS RCS messaging based on the capability of the set of receiver user equipment, or provide the RCS message to the set of receiver user equipment without utilizing the non-IMS RCS messaging based on the capability of the set of receiver user equipment.
