    Abstract: In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a method including: monitoring interference measurements of a radio in a cellular network; generating a multi-dimensional interference matrix based on the interference measurements, the multi-dimensional interference matrix storing averages of the interference measurements for a plurality of combinations of radios, frequencies, and time slots; analyzing the multi-dimensional interference matrix to determine at least one combination of the radio, frequency, and time slot in the plurality of combinations having an interference measurement exceeding a preconfigured threshold; and updating a slot configuration of the at least one combination based on the interference measurement.

    Abstract: A base station may obtain channel usage information identifying usage of one or more unlicensed radio frequency (RF) spectrum bands. The base station may select a selected band, of the one or more unlicensed RF spectrum bands, based on the channel usage information. The base station may select one or more RF channels, of multiple RF channels included in the selected band, based on a congestion value of the selected band. The congestion value may be determined based on values of the channel usage information corresponding to the selected band. The selected RF channel may include an impaired RF channel that may not permit full bandwidth utilization due to constraints. The base station may communicate with user equipment via the one or more RF channels of the selected band.

    Abstract: In some implementations, the techniques described herein relate to a system including: a group of one or more base stations; a radio controller communicatively coupled to the group of base stations and configured to self-identify a current location and identify permissible wireless frequencies based on the current location; a channel manager communicatively coupled to the radio controller configured to scan the permissible wireless channels, identify a subset of the permissible wireless channels within the permissible wireless frequencies, select a radio profile based on the subset of the permissible wireless channels, and transmit the radio profile to the base station; and a gateway communicatively coupled to the base station, the gateway configured to receive and transmit data from a satellite via wireless backhaul.

    Abstract: An approach for providing application-aware load balancing is provided. A load balancing platform at a base station receives application information specifying an application or type of service utilized by a mobile device and determines allocation of a plurality of carriers based on the received application information to provide load balancing across the plurality of carriers. The platform generates mapping information indicating a mapping of a plurality of applications to one or more of the plurality of carriers, wherein the application information includes the generated mapping information.

    Abstract: A device may receive information identifying a first sub-frame being transmitted by a base station via a first radio frame. The first sub-frame may be reserved for providing a particular set of transmissions. The device may identify a second sub-frame, that is to be transmitted by the device via a second radio frame and that corresponds to the first sub-frame. The second sub-frame being included in a second radio frame. The device may blank the second sub-frame based on identifying the second sub-frame that corresponds to the first sub-frame. The device may transmit the second radio frame with the blanked second sub-frame.
