摘要： Described are multi-resonance-thermally-activated delay-fluorescence compounds containing (i) a polycyclic aromatic/heteroaromatic ligand in which a plurality aromatic/heteroaromatic rings are linked by boron and nitrogen atoms and (ii) an N-heterocyclic carbene ligand, with both ligands coordinated to a metal atom/ion that has a high spin-orbit coupling. The use of the high spin-orbit coupling of metals and/or metal ions facilitates the intersystem crossing and/or reversed intersystem crossing processes of MR-TADF emitters, thereby largely accelerating the rate of TADF and substantially shortening the lifetime of deleterious triplet excitons. The MR-TADF emitters can be used to fabricate blue to green emitting OLEDs.

摘要： Described herein are compounds containing palladium(II), as the central metal atom, and tetradentate [N{circumflex over ( )}C{circumflex over ( )}C{circumflex over ( )}N] ligands. The compounds are charge neutral, and feature a donor-acceptor structure where a pendant substituted amino group (such as unsubstituted diphenylamine or substituted diphenylamine) and a heteroaryl group (such as pyridine group) serve as donor and acceptor, respectively. This donor-acceptor structure introduces a set of low-energy singlet and triplet charge-transfer excited states with small energy separation allowing for efficient thermally activated delayed fluorescence to take place.

摘要： Described herein are two-coordinated d10 metal carbene complexes containing (i) Cu(I), Ag(I), or Au(I), (ii) a pyrazine-fused NHC ligand or a pyridine-fused NHC ligand, and (iii) a carbazole ligand, a pyrido[2,3-b]indole ligand, or a pyrido[3,4-b]indole ligand. The radiative properties of the compounds can be controlled by thermally activated delayed fluorescence. The emission colors of the complexes can be tuned by using carbazoles with varying donor strength. Also described are methods of using the complexes.
