摘要: A light emitting photonic crystal having an organic light emitting diode and methods of making the same are disclosed. An organic light emitting diode disposed within a photonic structure having a band-gap, or stop-band, allows the photonic structure to emit light at wavelengths occurring at the edges of the band-gap. Photonic crystal structures that provide this function may include materials having a refractive index that varies.

摘要: A light-emitting element which uses a plurality of kinds of light-emitting dopants emitting light in a balanced manner and has high emission efficiency is provided. Further, a light-emitting device, a display device, an electronic device, and a lighting device each having reduced power consumption by using the above light-emitting element are provided. A light-emitting element which includes a plurality of light-emitting layers including different phosphorescent materials is provided. In the light-emitting element, the light-emitting layer which includes a light-emitting material emitting light with a long wavelength includes two kinds of carrier-transport compounds having properties of transporting carriers with different polarities. Further, in the light-emitting element, the triplet excitation energy of a host material included in the light-emitting layer emitting light with a short wavelength is higher than the triplet excitation energy of at least one of the carrier-transport compounds.

摘要: The present invention relates to indane derivatives of the formula (I) and mixtures thereof, wherein X is selected from groups of the formulae -A-NH2 or -A-(NAr2), wherein A is a chemical bond or phenylene which is unsubstituted or substituted by 1, 2, 3 or 4 substituents selected from C1-C6 alkyl and C1-C6-alkoxy; Ar is unsubstituted or substituted aryl, wherein two groups Ar bound to the same nitrogen atom may together with the nitrogen atom also form a fused ring system having 3 or more than 3 unsubstituted or substituted rings; and the variables RA, RB, Y, k, I, m, p, q and r are as defined in the claims and the description. The invention further relates to methods for preparing such compounds and their use in organic electronics, in particular as hole transport material or electron blocking material.

摘要: A hybrid LED-OLED lighting device includes a waveguide layer, a light-emitting diode (LED) array optically coupled to the waveguide layer, and an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) array. Light emitted from the LED array is provided to an edge of the waveguide layer and light emitted from the OLED array is provided to a first surface of the waveguide layer. Light emitted from the LED array and light emitted from the OLED array passes through a second surface of the waveguide layer opposite the first surface of the waveguide layer, and light emitted from the lighting device comprises the light emitted from the LED array and the light emitted from the OLED array.
