摘要: Electronic information is made more readily available to one or more access requesters based on an anticipated demand for the electronic information using a process, system or computer software. For instance, electronic information stored on a first storage medium is identified for transport (e.g., in response to a request of at least one of the access requesters), and the electronic information is transported accordingly. Afterwards, a determination is made to store the electronic information on a second storage medium that is more accessible to the access requesters than the first storage medium. The determination is based on an anticipated demand of the access requestors for the electronic information. The anticipated demand is determined based at least on information that is not particular to any single access requestor. The electronic information then is stored on the second storage medium and the access requesters are provided access to the electronic information from the second storage medium.

摘要: Improvements in a broadhead arrow is disclosed where the arrowhead opens in two stages. This provides a broadhead arrow that can be launched with a traditional bow or a compound bow to allow a hunter to bring down large game in an efficient manner. When an arrow is launched the arrow receives a thrust of energy from the string that launches the arrow. The initial thrust partially opens the arrowhead in a first stage of opening to provide a low fight profile that reduces flight air resistance. Regardless of how hard the initial thrust that is imparted onto the back of the arrow the blades will not open. Because the initial forward launch has no effect on the final opening of the arrow the only minimal impact forces are needed to completely open the broadhead arrow.

摘要: Numerous arrangements for permanent magnets are disclosed that can focus the flux produced by the magnets. Depending on the particular application in which the disclosed designs and techniques are used, efficiency and reliability may be increased by minimizing flux leakage, increasing peak flux density, and shaping the flux fields to improve the effective coercivity of the flux focusing permanent magnet arrangement when loaded, and to achieve customized voltage and current waveforms. The disclosed magnet assemblies may be incorporated into a machine, such as a motor/generator, having windings and may be disposed for movement relative to the windings. The magnet assembly may be mounted on a support formed of one or more ferromagnetic materials, such as a back iron The disclosed flux focusing magnet assemblies may be formed using a variety of manufacturing methods.

摘要: The invention provides an improved gun for firing a projectile comprising a grip, a receiver, a projection on either the grip or receiver and a retainer fixedly attached to the other, so that the projection and retainer selectively engage each other, retaining the grip and receiver in a fixed relationship. The apparatus provides a safety retainer and a safety projection, whereby the safety retainer and safety projection engage one another when the hammer is in the ready position, maintaining the grip and receiver in the fixed relationship. A safety member is provided preventing the retainer from disengaging the projection when the hammer is in the ready position, and blocking the hammer from moving into the ready position when the retainer is not in the first position and the hammer is not in the ready position. The invention provides a process for making a receiver for firing a projectile.

摘要: The invention provides a barrel for a gun having a portion comprising a substantially transparent material. The barrel can be made of any substantially transparent material including a polycarbonate or glass, such as tempered glass. The barrel is coated with a substantially transparent material to add hardness, which provides scratch resistance, and prevent deterioration of the substantially transparent material. A barrel assembly is constructed by attaching the barrel to a gun housing, also called a barrel cage, comprised of a stiff material, for example metal such as aluminum. In another aspect of the invention, an expansion chamber is provided having a housing with a portion comprising a substantially transparent material, such as a polycarbonate or glass, such as, tempered glass. The housing is coated with a substantially transparent material to reduce scratching and absorption of pressurized gas into the transparent material. The housing is partially enclosed within a cage to provide additional protection and stiffness to the expansion chamber.
