Abstract: An assembly, method, apparatus, and system for supplying power to security, life safety, information technology, and/or automation system components is disclosed. Some embodiments may include a power supply with a projecting terminal and a cable having a first end with an electrical contact surface for contacting a power transmitting surface of the projecting terminal to establish an electrical connection, so that a first end housing portion surrounds the electrical contact surface and at least partially covers the projecting terminal. The electrical contact surface may be adjustable using a spring, which may also assist in maintaining contact with the power transmitting surface located at the projecting terminal distal end. A cable second end may connect with an electronic device, and may be customizable according to the electronic device. Embodiments may also include keying features for ensuring connection with appropriate power supplies.

Abstract: In some embodiments, security and/or automation systems, collectively referred to as automation systems, may facilitate communications between a remote user and an occupant of a residence. The automation system may receive one or more communications from a user and deliver the communication to the specified recipient when the recipient occupies the residence. The automation system may determine the recipient is proximate the residence and may notify the recipient of the pending communication. The recipient may use the control panel or another device associated with the security and/or automation system to receive the message.

Abstract: An automation system may include a smart doorman. The system may observe one or more guests to a residence, predict a user profile associated with the guest, and invite an administrator of the automation system to create the suggested profile of the guest. The system may store one or more biometric identifiers with a visitation pattern to determine if the guest requires a profile. In one embodiment, a method for security and/or automation systems may be described. The method may include detecting the presence of one or more guests at an entrance to a residence and comparing the presence of a guest to one or more profile parameters. A guest profile associated with the guest may be predicted based at least in part on the comparing.

Abstract: In some embodiments, security and/or automation systems, collectively referred to as automation systems, may offer a user the comforts of automatically controlling HVAC settings based at least in part on an alarm. The automation system may provide automatically meet desired HVAC conditions at select times and provide a more comfortable living situation. In some embodiments, the increased comfort level may enable or ease household activities. For example, if a person sleeps with a cooler temperature, it may be harder for the person to get out of bed. But an automated HVAC system may adjust the temperature such that when a person desires to wake up, the temperature is comfortable and may ease a transition from day to night.
