摘要： Apparatus for feeding dielectric receptor sheets and/or sheet-like carriers for receptor sheets to the ionography imaging chamber of a radiographic system from a nearly upright stack of overlapping sheets has a set of suction heads which are mounted on a first lever pivotally mounted on a second lever. The first lever is pivoted relative to the second lever to thereby move the suction heads, which attract the upper marginal portion of the outermost sheet of the stack, along an arcuate path to flex the upper marginal portion away from the neighboring sheet. The second lever is thereupon pivoted to complete the separation of the outermost sheet from the neighboring sheet and to introduce the upper marginal portion of the separated sheet into the nip of advancing rolls which transport the sheet into the interelectrode gap of the imaging chamber. A hold-down device abuts against the outer side of the outermost sheet below the suction heads during flexing of the upper marginal portion of the outermost sheet.

摘要： Apparatus for recording data on X-ray films which are stored in cassettes having windows for exposure of certain portions of films therein includes a housing with two slots for insertion of cards with information pertaining to the patient and/or physician. The housing confines a battery of liquid crystals and an associated digital clock, digital calendar and digital counter each adapted to be actuated from the exterior of the housing to cause the corresponding liquid crystals to furnish the selected information. Such information, together with information on one of the cards, is imaged onto the exposed portion of X-ray film in the properly inserted cassette by a partly light transmitting mirror and an optical element. The images of the liquid crystals are inverted depending upon whether the X-ray film bears a postero-anterior or an antero-posterior picture of a patient's chest to thus ensure that the recorded data can be read while the physician looks at the developed film in a manner as is customary for examination of X-ray pictures. The liquid crystals can be illuminated by a discrete light source so that the light source which illuminates the data cards inserted into the housing need not be selected with a view to properly illuminate the liquid crystals and vice versa.

摘要： An arrangement is disclosed for projecting an identifying image from a data carrier on to a film in a cassette provided with a window which may be sealed against light. The arrangement has an opening mechanism for pushing a cover for the window open and closed. The arrangement further has a projection mechanism and switch means for triggering the opening mechanism and the exposure. The opening mechanism has an engaging device which is guided on a carriage and engages the window cover. The engaging device, which is held in engagement with the window cover via a spring, may be disengaged from the same in any position of the carriage by means of a lifting mechanism. The lifting mechanism has a crank which is connected with the engaging device and is operable from externally.

摘要： A cassette with two chambers for discrete cut films has a centrally disposed plate-like partition with two identical sides, and a pair of identical covers each of which is adjacent to a different side of the partition and is pivotably attached to the partition by a hinge for movement between an open and a closed position. The covers have exposure apertures and carry slidable plate-like shutters which can slide in slots of the respective covers to permit or prevent entry of light by way of the respective apertures. The film chambers are separated from each other by the central portion of the partition, and the latter further carries locks for releasably holding the covers in their closed positions. The lock for one of the covers is provided at that side of the partition which is adjacent to the other cover, and vice versa. The hinge or hinges for one of the covers are provided on a first marginal portion of the substantially rectangular partition, and the lock for such one cover is provided on a second marginal portion which is parallel to the first marginal portion. The hinge or hinges and the lock for the other cover are respectively provided on the second and first marginal portions of the partition.

摘要： A method and a reading station for processing a cassette containing an X-ray film coated with a layer of stimulatable phosphorus are proposed. The cassette with the film therein, before being positioned in the reading station, is exposed to X-rays to produce a latent image thereon. The film is then removed from the cassette and the phosphorus layer is brought by a laser beam scanner to luminescence so that the emitted light converts the latent image into digital electric signals stored in the central memory. The film is then erased and re-inserted into the same cassette within the reading station.

摘要： A cassette for sheet film has a cover and a bottom which are hinged to one another along a longitudinal edge of the cassette. Locking elements for locking the cover and bottom when the cassette is closed are arranged at the opposite longitudinal edge of the cassette. The cover and bottom cooperate to define a film compartment and the bottom has a rigid, flat wall for supporting a sheet of film. The cover has a window for exposing the film in the compartment and is further provided with a slot which slidably receives a shield for protecting the film against light until such time as the film is to be exposed. A resilient rim is mounted on the cover and extends around the window. The rim is arranged to press the margins of the film against the rigid wall of the bottom when the cassette is closed. The hinged connection of the cover and the bottom causes the rim to contact the film progressively as the cassette is closed so that the rim stretches the film flat over the rigid wall of the bottom. The pressure of the rim on the margins of the film after the cassette has been closed insures that the film remains flat regardless of the orientation of the cassette.
