摘要: Disclosed is a device for a solid phase extraction comprising two or more of the sorbents to remove phospholipids and salts from a sample, to thereby eliminate matrix effects during mass spectrometry analysis. In particular, the sorbents includes at least one sorbent which is water-wettable and contains at least one hydrophobic component and at least one hydrophilic component and at least one of sorbent having a specific affinity for a matrix interference like phospholipids. Further disclosed is a method using the device of the present invention.

摘要: Described is a matrix spot processing device comprising a tubular apparatus. An absorbent media is located either separate from, or attached to, the tubular apparatus. A sample is spotted on the absorbent media. A reservoir is in the tubular apparatus. A first region of the reservoir is constructed and arranged to have an extraction solvent. A second region of the reservoir, which may or may not be the same as the first region, is constructed and arranged to receive an extract generated from an interaction between the extraction solvent and the spotted sample at the absorbent media.

摘要: Described is a chromatographic column assembly that includes an outer tube comprising a metal, a first conduit disposed within the outer tube, a second conduit disposed within the outer tube, and a first joint located between the first conduit and the second conduit. The outer tube is deformed by a first uniform radial crimp at a longitudinal location along the outer tube that surrounds the first conduit on a first side of the first joint, and a second uniform radial cramp at a longitudinal location along the outer tube that surrounds the second conduit on a second side of the first joint. The first and second uniform radial cramps form a fluid-tight seal between the first conduit and the second conduit and each have a substantially flat base region over which a diameter of the outer tube is reduced for a non-zero longitudinal length.
