    摘要: An implantable device for selectively controlling defecation has an outer body defining on one end a flange that is surgically attachable to the person's anus and/or tissue adjacent to the anus. A connector is mounted on the other end of the outer body and is secured to the distal end of the person's large intestine for connecting the large intestine in fluid communication with the device. An inner body is slidably received within the outer body. A macerator-type pump is mounted within the inner body and an inlet valve is mounted between the pump and the connector. An actuator in the form of an RF receiver is electrically coupled to the inlet valve and the pump and a remote transmitter is operatively coupled to the receiver. The receiver is responsive to control signals received from the transmitter to open the inlet valve and operate the pump in order to move fecal matter through the device.

    摘要: The number of computations performed in rendering graphics is reduced by computing certain terms only at the beginning of each scanline. A scanline gradient is calculated once at the beginning of each scanline for each of two texture values with respect to the x-coordinate of the scanline. Following the scanline gradient calculations at the beginning of each scanline, a pixel gradient is calculated for each pixel of the scanline with respect to the y-coordinate of the scanline. The sum of the squares of the scanline gradients and the pixel gradients are compared, and the larger of the two quantities is selected to be a maximum Rho constant term for the corresponding pixel, wherein the maximum Rho constant is used to select a texture map for rendering the corresponding pixel. Furthermore, at the beginning of each scanline, a pixel gradient may be calculated for each of two texture values for a first pixel of the scanline with respect to the y-coordinate of the scanline. Derivatives are calculated for the pixel gradients, wherein pixel gradients are found using the derivatives, thereby eliminating the calculation of pixel gradients for each pixel.

    摘要: Conventional fabrication of sidewall oxide around an ONO-type memory cell stack usually produces Bird's Beak because prior to the fabrication, there is an exposed sidewall of the ONO-type memory cell stack that exposes side parts of a plurality of material layers respectively composed of different materials. Certain materials in the stack such as silicon nitrides are more difficult to oxidize than other materials in the stack such polysilicon. As a result oxidation does not proceed uniformly along the multi-layered height of the sidewall. The present disclosure shows how radical-based fabrication of sidewall dielectric can help to reduce the Bird's Beak formation. More specifically, it is indicated that short-lived oxidizing agents (e.g., atomic oxygen) are able to better oxidize difficult to oxidize materials such as silicon nitride and the it is indicated that the short-lived oxidizing agents alternatively or additionally do not diffuse as deeply through already oxidized layers of the sidewall such as silicon oxide layers. As a result, a more uniform sidewall dielectric can be fabricated with more uniform breakdown voltages along it height.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for mapping texture, which may encode three-dimensional elements, from a first raster of pixels (e.g., a texture map) to a second raster of pixels (e.g., a displayable frame buffer or other target map). The pixels of the first raster include a recession component q and the pixels of the second raster include a recession component w. Successive pixels of the target map are mapped to corresponding pixels of the texture map, linearly interpolated to account for recession, and assigned values consistent with the interpolation. Unlike prior systems, which are designed to scan pixels along horizontal rows or vertical columns, the invention scans along lines where the quantity q/w is constant. These scan lines are generally parallel to one another, obviating the need for repeated slope computations; they also tend to correspond to similar levels of detail in prefiltered (e.g., mip map) texture representations, obviating the need for shifting among representations.
