This invention relates to the field of computer image processing technology, particularly, to a method for adding marks in the process of page rasterizing, which in detail is the method for adding marks on the output medium when description files of pages are output in raster imaging devices. The description files of pages are generally PostScript file, i.e. PS file, and Portable Document Format (PDF) files, i.e. PDF file. The prior art has disadvantages of poor compatibility, slow speed and the like. The present recognizes adding various marks to description files of pages in the process of page rasterizing in an RIP, thereby it is possible to add marks to any of PS files and PDF files without pre-scanning the description files of pages, and obtain good flexibility and compatibility substantially without effects on speed.

The method comprises a step of receiving two pages of original four-color page lattice according to a printing order each time, a step of extracting effective data of first and second colors in the two pages of original four-color page lattice, respectively and a step of writing the data of the first and second colors extracted respectively into data of first color, second color, third color and fourth color of a new page of four-color page lattice, respectively. The application discloses an apparatus for double-sided printing with two colors including a printing controller, and the printing controller includes an original page receiving module configured to receive two pages of original four-color page lattice according to a printing order each time, an extracting module configured to extract effective data of first and second colors in the two pages of original four-color page lattice, respectively, and a new page generating module configured to write the data of the first and second colors extracted respectively into data of first color, second color, third color and fourth color of a new page of four-color page lattice, respectively. A multi-wavelength laser array having a plurality of gain-coupled distributed feedback ridge waveguide lasers. The operational wavelength of each laser is established by selecting a width of the ridge waveguide in the range 1.6 .mu.m to 5.2 .mu.m. Fine tuning of each central wavelength is achieved by thermal power to selected waveguides via Titanium thin film resistors integrated into the laser array. A wavelength range of 9 nm is demonstrated utilizing a sixteen element array.

A method for rasterizing transparent pages scans each transparent page twice. The first scanning syntactically interprets a page description file of the transparent page, divides it into page blocks, and writes information of image element objects and transparency parameters into intermediate files. The second scanning reads the image element objects and the transparency parameters from the intermediate files and builds a page bitmap in blocks. A device for rasterizing transparent pages includes interpreting, dividing, file storing and building units. The interpreting unit implements syntactical interpretation. The dividing unit divides pages into transparent and nontransparent page blocks. The building unit implements rasterization according to the transparent or nontransparent page blocks, the information of image element objects and the transparent parameters to build a page bitmap in blocks. The methods and devices herein improve the efficiency of building a page bitmap and decrease memory utilization during generation of the page bitmap.
