    摘要: Method and system aspects for integrated automatic exposure control for portal imaging in radiotherapy are described. In an exemplary method aspect, the method includes controlling scanning and blanking of a target of a camera pick-up tube to capture an initial image, and analyzing the initial image to establish an initial image intensity. The method further includes utilizing the initial image intensity to determine a time for scanning a next image, and combining a scan of the next image with the initial image to produce a portal image with a maximized signal to noise ratio.

    摘要: A vehicle anti-theft system includes an engine control computer operable to control engine fueling in a normal mode of operation according to operator demand via an accelerator pedal, and a code interface module responsive to a predefined security code to set the engine control computer in a secure mode of operation. In the secure mode, two fuel enabling values in the engine fueling algorithm are altered. Specifically, an engine startup enable value is altered so that the engine control computer disables fueling if the engine is not running, to thereby prevent an unauthorized individual from starting the engine. Likewise, an accelerator enable value is altered so that the engine control computer disregards the accelerator signal and controls fueling of the engine to thereby maintain an engine idling condition. The control computer is reset to its normal fueling control mode by re-entering the security code.

    摘要: A device for linearly oscillating one or more of a plurality of X-ray filter elements singly or in combination in and out of an X-ray beam at television frame rates. First and second substantially coplanar filter elements are adjacent each other and formed as a unitary member that is transverse to the X-ray beam. It is slidable bidirectionally on parallel guide tracks in one plane. A servo motor drives a closed loop belt which attaches to said member. A third planar filter element runs on tracks in a plane parallel to that of the unitary member. There are lug means on the third element spaced apart in the direction of its travel member that project up and are between the lug means on the third element to enable pushing or pulling it. Thus, the first and second filter elements can be oscillated alternately in and out of the X-ray beam by moving said unitary member without engaging the third element so it stays out of the beam. The member can be driven to one travel limit to pull the third element into the beam and let it stay there while the first element is oscillated beneath it so the beam passes through two filters. And the member can be driven to one travel limit and not be oscillated so the third filter element stays in the beam.
