The vertical frame pieces are inserted into a cavity formed by the ends of the length and depth struts and are welded with the base to form a corner connector. It is possible to create a switching cabinet with a simple corner connector mounted on the rack. It is also possible to achieve precise alignment of the vertical frame pieces by providing them with centering pieces which are aligned with stops of the length and depth struts.

In a row of adjacent switchgear cabinets with a frame, vertical frame pieces of adjacent switchgear cabinets are connected to each other and the top and bottom sides of the frame are closed by upper and lower metal sheets which have edges at least on the sides facing each other. The edges are staggered in relation to the outer sides of the adjacent frame pieces and form a type of groove with the end pieces of the edges and/or the profiled sides of the horizontal frame pieces facing each other. The grooves in an area of the top and bottom metal sheets of the adjacent switchgear cabinets are protected from water penetration because they are sealed respectively in the area of the top and/or bottom metal sheets of the switchgear cabinets by a covering strip running from the front face to the rear face of the switchgear cabinet flush with the top and bottom metal sheets.

The assembly rails can be firmly and easily secured to the frame sections with slotted fastening cavities if the hooks are bent out of the assembly plate around an axis of flexion extending in the longitudinal direction of the frame sections, if a protruding section of the hook is stamped out from the bending point and if a width of the hook is determined by the material thickness of the fastening plate.

A device for fastening of attachment elements, such as mounting rails, mounting plates, deposit plates and the like on a frame leg of a switchgear cabinet rack, wherein the frame legs are designed symmetrically in relation to their cross-sectional diagonal line and are aligned with the latter with the diagonal line of the rack. On the inside of the frame legs oriented toward the interior of the rack, the frame legs form a fastening receiver with two fastening profile sides which are disposed vertically in respect to each other and extend parallel to the facing outsides of the switchgear cabinet rack. The frame legs form system fastening receivers in the form of square or rectangular openings and fastening bores and make transitions into additional profile sides having corresponding rows of fastening receivers, which extend perpendicular to the facing exteriors of the switchgear cabinet rack. The fastening elements, which have fastening faces with fastening receivers in three directions respectively extending at right angles to each other, can be connected to the frame legs. The positioning of the same is made easier by specially designed fastening blocks, and connecting possibilities in three directions are created.
