Abstract:
A solid ink including an ink vehicle and a colorant, the colorant includes an orange colorant and a red colorant, where the orange colorant absorbs light having a wavelength of from about 400 to about 560 nm, and where the red colorant absorbs light having a wavelength of from about 510 to 580 nm. The ink substantially matches PANTONE® Red 032 or PANTONE® Warm red.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides processes for producing toners by emulsion aggregation where the resulting toner particles have high pigment loadings and desired circularity. The methods include adding a metal, in embodiments a metal salt, at the beginning of coalescence, which surprisingly speeds the coalescence process and produces toner particles having a desired size and circularity for use in electrophotographic imaging systems.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides for enzymatic polymerization to produce polyester resins suitable for use in manufacturing toners. In embodiments, crystalline copolymers, which are polyesters, may be synthesized from lactones, cyclic anhydrides, cyclic carbonates, and combinations thereof. These crystalline copolymers, in turn, may be utilized in the synthesis of toner particles.
Abstract:
A radiation curable ink including at least one curable monomer, at least one organic gellant, at least one photoinitiator, and a colorant, the colorant includes an orange colorant and an red colorant, where the orange colorant absorbs light having a wavelength of from about 400 to about 560 nm, and where the red colorant absorbs light having a wavelength of from about 460 to 580 nm. The ink substantially matches PANTONE® Red 032 or PANTONE® Warm Red.
Abstract:
Red toners that approximate PANTONE® Red 032 and PANTONE® Warm Red are described. The colorant includes an orange colorant and a red colorant, where the orange colorant absorbs light having a wavelength of from about 400 to about 520 nm, and where the red colorant absorbs light having a wavelength of from about 500 to 580 nm.
Abstract:
The instant disclosure describes a ring opening polymerization (ROP) of cyclic monomer components using a nucleophilic transesterification catalyst system in a neat, single pot reaction to obtain homopolymers and copolymers.
Abstract:
The instant disclosure describes methods for preparing latex resins for coated carriers using surfactant partitioning, which resins exhibit both lower ζ potential and greater latex stability, while not adversely affecting particle size, toner charge or other metrics.

Abstract:
The instant disclosure describes polyester synthesis processes, including processes for the ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of cyclic organic monomer components and components comprising a functional group using an organocatalyst system to effect ROP-based block copolymer preparation.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a toner design for a clear UV red fluorescence toner having a high lanthanide complex pigment loading, including methods of making the fluorescence toner using a saccharide or a sugar acid to avoid complexation of lanthanide ions from the pigment, with lower aggregation and coalescence temperatures in the preparation of toner particles, where the particles exhibit a narrow size distribution and good xerographic performance.
