    摘要: A method of removing an edge bead of a coated material on a substrate. The substrate is rotated, and a fluid that solvates the coated material is delivered. The delivery of the fluid is directed radially inward on the substrate at a rate of between about three millimeters per second and about twenty millimeters per second until a desired innermost fluid delivery position on the substrate is attained. Immediately upon attaining the desired innermost fluid delivery position on the substrate, the delivery of the fluid is directed radially outward off the substrate at a rate of more than zero millimeters per second and less than about four millimeters per second. The rotation of the substrate is ceased.

The hammer configurations of the present disclosure are adaptable to most hammer mill or grinders having free-swinging systems. The improved configurations improve installing, removing, and cleaning hammer components within the hammermill. More particularly, a method for replacing hammers and spacers includes pre-assembling hammers, spacers, hammer saddles, locking collars, or any combination thereof and temporarily attaching them to one another before placement onto a hammermill rod. Once placed on the hammermill rod, the temporary attachment is broken such that the hammers within the pre-assembled group may move freely with respect to one another.

The improved configurations may incorporate hammermill rod hole of varying shapes and sizes and saddles of varying shapes and sizes or the use of non-planar hammer bodies that have a recessed or protruding surface.

The applicator has a straight portion of tubing with an open end and a closed end. An angled tube extends from the straight portion of tubing near the closed end. A user inverts the applicator to load a fixed amount of fire ant killer granules into the straight portion, and inverts the applicator a second time to release the fixed amount of granules from the open end of the straight portion of the applicator.

The shape of the hammer body may be varied, as disclosed and claimed, to further improve hammer strength, or reduce or maintain the weight of the hammer while increasing the amount of force delivered to the material to be comminuted.
