    摘要: A method for generating a user mobility model includes: firstly deriving user movement tracks of all the users in a cellular network and then generating from the user movement tracks a user mobility model involving a user traffic between home cells of any two of path points in the cellular network. Thus, a cell can be re-divided into respective location areas according to the generated user mobility model to thereby deploy reasonably various network resources in the GSM network according to the re-divided positional zones. The invention further discloses a method and device for generating a user movement track and a device for generating a user mobility model.

    摘要: A device for switching between code-based searching, optical character recognition (OCR) searching and visual searching is provided. The device includes a media content input for receiving media content from a camera or other element of the device and transferring this media content to a switch. Additionally, the device includes a meta-information input capable of receiving meta-information from an element of the device and transferring the meta-information to the switch. The switch is able to utilize the received media content and the meta-information to select and/or switch between a visual search algorithm, an OCR algorithm and a code-based algorithm.

    摘要: A method, apparatus and computer program product for monitoring the motion and/or image quality associated with a captured image are provided. Various actions may be taken in response to the detected motion and corresponding image quality associated with a captured image. In particular, the motion and image quality monitor may, for example, only allow captured images to be used in conjunction with an image matching application, such as a mobile visual search application, when the image features of the captured image have stabilized (i.e., little to no motion is detected between consecutive frames of the captured image). The detected changes in motion and/or image quality may further be used for energy saving purposes, for example, by switching on or off various applications and/or components operating on the mobile device depending upon the amount of motion detected and/or the quality of the image captured.

One example method includes determining a plurality of image matching distances for a captured object depicted in a video frame, where each image matching distance being indicative of a quality of a match between the captured object and a respective object match result. The example method further includes including, in a candidate pool, an indication of the object match results having image matching distances in a candidate region, discarding the object match results having image matching distances in a non-candidate region, and analyzing the object match results with image matching distances in a potential candidate region to include, in the candidate pool, indications of select object match results with image matching distances in the potential candidate region.
