摘要: Described herein are corrole-based frameworks and methods for making the same. The corrole-based frameworks have unique structural and physical properties, which lends them to be versatile in a number of different applications and uses such as in gas storage/separation, proton conduction, biomedicine, sensing, and catalysis. In one aspect, the corrole-based frameworks are organic frameworks. In other aspects, the corrole-based frameworks are metal-organic frameworks.

摘要: Compositions are provided for efficient uranium extraction, for example from wastewater, seawater, or other water sources. The compositions can include a functionalized porous organic polymer functionalized with one or more uranium binding moieties, e.g. having a plurality of amidoxime or amidrazone groups covalently attached thereto. The compositions can include covalent organic frameworks, porous aromatic frameworks, and various porous organic polymers, especially those having a hierarchical pore size distribution over a range of pore sizes. The compositions can have functional groups such as amidoxime or an amidrazone covalently attached thereto. The hierarchical pore size distribution can be determined based upon at least 60% of the pore sizes in the range of pore sizes having a pore volume of at least 0.01 cm3 g−1 in the pore size distribution at 77 K. Methods of making the compositions and methods of using the compositions are also provided.

These compositions may allow new applications of frustrated Lewis pairs in catalysis by sequestering and protecting the frustrated Lewis pair within the nanospace of the porous material. Also provided are methods of hydrogenating an organic compound having at least one unsaturated functional group comprising using the compositions described herein.

摘要: Described herein is a simple and versatile synthetic strategy for the preparation of metal-organic frameworks comprising a carbon matrix doped with nitrogen atoms, wherein transition metal ions are bonded to the carbon matrix via the nitrogen atoms. This strategy is applicable for the synthesis of single metal catalysts or multi metal catalysts rich with atomically dispersed metal active sites. The metal-organic frameworks provided herein have numerous application when used in fuel cells.
