摘要: An electrical double-layer capacitor showing a sleight increase of resistance when used under continuous application of high voltage and maintaining high energy residual ratio after standing for a long time includes an electrode element including a pair of electrodes disposed opposite to each other with a separator interposed therebetween, and is impregnated with a nonaqueous electrolyte solution prepared by dissolving quaternary ammonium salts into cyclic carbonates and containing impurities of 30 ppm or less of glycols, 30 ppm or less of primary alcohols and less than 20 ppm of tertiary amines. The water content may be 50 ppm or less. The quaternary ammonium salt may be triethylmethylammonium tetrafluoroborate. The cyclic carbonate may be propylene carbonate. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution may have a concentration of 0.1 to 2.5 mol/liter. The electrode may be a polarizable electrode composed of activated carbon.

摘要: The present invention provides an electric double layer capacitor which has electrodes made of an alkali-activated carbon, prepared from a graphitic material, useful in manufacturing high-capacitance capacitors and which has an electrolytic solution containing chain carbonate and/or cyclic carbonate. Even if the electric double layer capacitor is used under high-temperature and high-voltage conditions, chain carbonate and/or cyclic carbonate is prevented from being degraded and the amount of generated gas is slight. The electric double layer capacitor has high initial performance and energy density and the performance of the electric double layer capacitor is maintained high. The electrolytic solution contains a quaternary ammonium salt except for a quaternary ammonium salt containing a carbon atom being bonded to the quaternary nitrogen atom and being bonded to other nitrogen atom than the quaternary nitrogen atom, chain carbonate and/or cyclic carbonate, and a solvent containing a carboxylic ester which contains five or more carbon atoms and which has two or more carboxylic ester bonds.

摘要: In an electric double layer capacitor and electrolytic solution, decomposition of at least one of an open-chain carbonate and a cyclic carbonate can be controlled under high temperature conditions, initial performance and maintained ratio of capacitance are superior, and energy density is high, when graphitized alkali-activated carbon is used as an electrode material and at least one of an open-chain carbonate and a cyclic carbonate is used in an organic electrolytic solution. The electric double layer capacitor includes electrodes containing alkali-activated carbon including graphitized carbon material, and an organic electrolytic solution in which a supporting salt is dissolved in solvent including aromatic carboxylate and at least one of an open-chain carbonate and a cyclic carbonate, in which the content of the aromatic carboxylate is not more than 50 weight % relative to the total weight of the solvent.

摘要: The present invention provides an electric double layer capacitor which has electrodes made of an alkali-activated carbon, prepared from a graphitic material, useful in manufacturing high-capacitance capacitors and which has an electrolytic solution containing chain carbonate and/or cyclic carbonate. Even if the electric double layer capacitor is used under high-temperature and high-voltage conditions, chain carbonate and/or cyclic carbonate is prevented from being degraded and the amount of generated gas is slight. The electric double layer capacitor has high initial performance and energy density and the performance of the electric double layer capacitor is maintained high. The electrolytic solution contains a quaternary ammonium salt except for a quaternary ammonium salt containing a carbon atom being bonded to the quaternary nitrogen atom and being bonded to other nitrogen atom than the quaternary nitrogen atom, chain carbonate and/or cyclic carbonate, and a solvent containing a carboxylic ester which contains five or more carbon atoms and which has two or more carboxylic ester bonds.

摘要: An oscillator comprising a delay circuit having an input terminal and an output terminal, and a tristate inverter having an input connected to the output terminal of the delay circuit and an output connected to the input terminal of the delay circuit. This tristate inverter is adapted to be switched by a control signal between an operable condition and an inoperable condition. A wave shaping inverter is connected to the output of the tristate inverter to generate a shaped pulse signal. Further, there is provided at least one tristate inverter having an input directly connected to an output of the tristate inverter itself so that it can generate a predetermined potential corresponding to the threshold of the tristate inverter itself. This voltage generating tristate inverter is connected at its output terminal to a selected one of the input and output terminals of the delay circuit. This voltage generating tristate inverter is adapted to be put in response to the control signal, when the first tristate inverter is put in the operable condition, in such a biasing mode as to generate the above predetermined voltage at the output terminal, and when the first tristate inverter is put in the operable condition, in such a floating mode as to bring its output terminal into a floating condition, so that the first tristate inverter oscillates because of a feedback given by the delay circuit.
