摘要： An electronic hand-held memory device is capable of containing character information and numerical information stored together as a pair. Either or both types of information may be outputted, and the numerical information may be used for calculation. Loading and fetching of character information and numeral information are performed upon actuation of keys. The desired key in effect acts as a memory key during a numeral information calculation mode. The desired key may serve as a constant memory key or a memory total key. When printing an output is desirable, the beginning of the character information is aligned with the most significant digit position and the end of the numeral information is aligned with the least significant digit position of a printer.

摘要： A programmable electronic calculator operates in a programming mode, wherein a desired optional program is introduced into the programmable electronic calculator, or in a run mode wherein the stored program is executed. The introduced optional program is stored in a read/write memory (RAM). A mode selection switch is provided on a keyboard for selectively placing the programmable electronic calculator in the run mode or the programming mode. When a lock command is introduced through the keyboard, the mode selection switch is disabled so that the programmable electronic calculator will not be placed in the programming mode, thereby protecting the optional program stored in the read/write memory (RAM) from being unintentionally erased.

The previously written and stored programs in the expandable ROM do not utilize the RAM user program area, and the large volume of programs contained within the expandable ROM can be directly executed. In addition, the user programs and the programs in the expandable ROM may be linked together and executed. Furthermore, it is unnecessary to give instructions for the programs in the expandable ROM to be transferred to the RAM.

摘要： An ingot I made of a light alloy is produced using a continuous casting apparatus including a cylindrical water-cooled casting mold which is disposed immediately below a spout having an upward-turned molten metal receiving port and a downward-turned molten metal outlet, and which has an inside radius r1 larger than an inside radius r2 of the molten metal outlet, and lubricating oil discharge passages provided below the spout to supply a lubricating oil to between the water-cooled casting mold 13 and a molten metal m brought into contact with the water-cooled casting mold. In this production, a lubricating oil having a vaporization rate of 30% or more at 300° is used, and an annular gas accumulation for spacing the molten metal apart from outlets of the lubricating oil discharge passages is defined below an annular protrusion of the spout by vaporization of the lubricating oil. Thus, it is possible to avoid the generation of a casting skin failure in a light alloy ingot due to the outlets of the lubricating oil discharge passages.
