摘要: A toner with a glass transition point (Tg) before curing of not lower than 35° C., said toner comprising: a toner binder composed of a resin (I) selected from the group consisting of a cation-polymerizable thermoplastic resin (A) and a radical-polymerizable thermoplastic resin (B); and a colorant. The resins making up the toner binder are polymerizable ones and are cured in fixing the image on the support so that the number average molecular weight can be increased after the fixing step. That is, a toner binder with a low number average molecular weight can be used, and fixed at a low temperature and with low energy. Because of the low number average molecular weight, the toner is low in viscosity and excellent in gloss development and can produce high-quality multi-color images. Since the toner polymerizes and cures to increase in number average molecular weight while fixing, the hot offset is hardly caused, with a high fixing strength and an excellent wear resistance developed.

摘要: A glass sheet defect detection device includes a light source and a light reception device which are placed at opposed positions so as to sandwich a glass sheet. The glass sheet has light-transparent surfaces opposed to each other in a thickness direction. The glass sheet is placed between the light source and the light reception device so that the light-transparent surfaces are inclined with respect to a light axis of an optical system of the glass sheet defect detection device at a predetermined angle. Moreover, the light reception device and the glass sheet are placed in such a positional, relationship that a focal length of a lens system of the light reception device is smaller than a distance from a light reception element of the light reception device and the glass sheet.

摘要: A toner binder for dry toners which comprises a polyester; and a process for producing the toner binder. A known conventional technique for imparting low-temperature fixing property and anti-hot offset property to a toner binder is to use a mixture of two powdery polyesters. However, when the two polyesters mixed differ greatly in softening point, the effect of mixing is not obtained and pigments show poor dispersibility during toner production. The toner binder and the process eliminate these problems. The toner binder comprises aggregates of binder resin particles comprising two polyesters (A) and (B), wherein the polyester (A) has a higher softening point than the polyester (B) and the polyesters (A) and (B) have been evenly mixed in each particle. The process for producing a toner binder is characterized by melt-mixing the two polyesters (A) and (B) at 80 to 180° C. The toner binder is used mainly as an ingredient for dry toners.
