摘要: The present invention provides, among other aspects, stabilized chromophoric nanoparticles. In certain embodiments, the chromophoric nanoparticles provided herein are rationally functionalized with a pre-determined number of functional groups. In certain embodiments, the stable chromophoric nanoparticles provided herein are modified with a low density of functional groups. In yet other embodiments, the chromophoric nanoparticles provided herein are conjugated to one or more molecules. Also provided herein are methods for making rationally functionalized chromophoric nanoparticles.

The deep eutectic solvent provides an alternative medium to the aqueous-based media that have been used in the art to date. Also disclosed are compositions of a deep eutectic solvent with a redox-active compound, such as a viologen compound, and the use of the composition, for example, in a smart window or for agricultural use, such as in an agricultural product.

摘要: The present invention aims to provide a paste containing polytetrafluoroethylene which can be formed into a molded polytetrafluoroethylene article having a significantly small thickness of polytetrafluoroethylene and is less likely to cause defects in molding; and a method of producing the paste. The present invention provides a method of producing a paste, including the steps of coagulating primary particles of polytetrafluoroethylene in an aqueous dispersion that contains the primary particles and water to form slurry that contains secondary particles of polytetrafluoroethylene and water or secondary particles of polytetrafluoroethylene floating in water; and adding an organic solvent to at least one of the slurry and the secondary particles of polytetrafluoroethylene floating in water to provide the paste.

摘要: Provided is a polyurethane gel composition containing A and B below. Here, A represents a polyurethane obtained by reaction of (a) a hydrogenated polybutadiene having isocyanate groups at the terminals and (b) a glycol represented by HO—R3—OH (wherein R3 represents a linear or branched C2 to C6 alkylene group optionally having an ether bond), or A represents a polyurethane obtained by reaction of (c) a hydrogenated polybutadiene having hydroxyl groups at the terminals, (d) a diisocyanate compound, and the (b) glycol represented by HO—R3—OH (wherein R3 represents a linear or branched C2 to C6 alkylene group optionally having an ether bond), and B represents an oil agent. The polyurethane gel composition of the present invention is particularly useful as a raw material for cosmetics since a film of an oil-soluble gel obtained using the polyurethane gel composition is exceptionally excellent in any point of transparency, high gloss, elasticity, and resilience.

摘要: A method for reducing yellowness of a polyetherimide solution, including exposing a first solution including a solvent and a polyetherimide to light under conditions effective to provide a second solution having a yellowness index that is 1 to 100 units less than the yellowness index of the first solution, as determined according to ASTM D1925. Another aspect is a method for reducing yellowness of a polyetherimide solution including acidifying a first solution including a solvent and a polyetherimide to provide a second solution having a pH less than 5 under conditions effective for the second solution to attain a yellowness index that is 1 to 30 units less than the yellowness index of the first solution, as determined according to ASTM D1925. Polyetherimides prepared according to the method, and compositions and articles including the polyetherimide are also described.
