摘要： The present invention provides a recording apparatus which can determine a position of a carriage on which a recording head is mounted with high accuracy without enhancing positional accuracy of a carriage position detecting system. In this recording apparatus, a rod-like member is moved upwardly to be engaged by a recessed portion formed in the carriage. A deviation amount of the carriage generated by such engagement is detected by a linear encoder and is used as a correction value when the carriage is moved next time.

摘要： An ink-jet recording apparatus includes a positioning device for postioning a recording head on a carriage and an electrical connecting device for establishing electrical connection between the recording head and a main body portion. The positioning device and the electrical connecting device are provided on the carriage independently of each other. Therefore, the recording head and an ink tank can be certainly and simply installed on the recording apparatus. Also, an information processing system employs such recording apparatus to output input information, such as characters, image or so forth on a recording medium.

摘要： A sheet feeding apparatus includes a sheet supporting device for supporting sheets, a supply device for feeding the sheets supported by the sheet supporting device in a sheet feeding direction, a separating claw device for separating, one-by-one, the sheets fed by the supply device by regulating at least one front corner of the sheets relative to the sheet feeding direction. A switching device selectively switches positions of the separating claw device between a first position where the separating claw device is separated from the sheet supporting device and a second position where the separating claw device is adjacent to the sheet supporting device. A separation device separates, one-by-one, the sheets fed by the supply device in a condition that the separating claw device is in the second position.

摘要： A recording apparatus is usable with a recording head having an ejection outlet. The recording head is carried on a carriage. The apparatus includes a cap for capping the ejection outlet of the recording head and a suction device for suctioning ink through the ejection outlet of the recording head and through the cap. The cap is unified with a cylinder of the suction device and the ejection outlet is capped in accordance with movement of the cylinder together with movement of the carriage.
