摘要： A recording apparatus is usable with a recording head having an ejection outlet. The recording head is carried on a carriage. The apparatus includes a cap for capping the ejection outlet of the recording head and a suction device for suctioning ink through the ejection outlet of the recording head and through the cap. The cap is unified with a cylinder of the suction device and the ejection outlet is capped in accordance with movement of the cylinder together with movement of the carriage.

摘要： A sheet feeding apparatus includes a sheet supporting device for supporting sheets, a supply device for feeding the sheets supported by the sheet supporting device in a sheet feeding direction, a separating claw device for separating, one-by-one, the sheets fed by the supply device by regulating at least one front corner of the sheets relative to the sheet feeding direction. A switching device selectively switches positions of the separating claw device between a first position where the separating claw device is separated from the sheet supporting device and a second position where the separating claw device is adjacent to the sheet supporting device. A separation device separates, one-by-one, the sheets fed by the supply device in a condition that the separating claw device is in the second position.

摘要： A container for safekeeping an ink jet cartridge is provided with the main body of a container for storing an ink jet cartridge having a recording head unit, and an ink tank unit containing ink to be supplied to the recording head unit, a lid element for covering the inlet and outlet of the main body of the container for storing or removing the ink jet cartridge, an elastic cap member provided in the main body of the container for covering the recording head unit. This container for safekeeping an ink jet cartridge comprises a rib arranged on the inner wall surface of the lid element for exerting pressure on the recording head unit of the ink jet cartridge to press it to the elastic cap member; and a recess arranged on the inner wall surface of the main body of the container in a position corresponding to the location where the elastic cap member is arranged. In this way, it is possible to cap the recording head appropriately in the container to provide a highly reliable safekeeping of the ink jet cartridge, and at the same time, to store and safekeep the ink jet cartridges for monochromatic use and color uses exhangeably.

摘要： A container for safekeeping an ink jet cartridge is provided with the main body of a container for storing an ink jet cartridge having a recording head unit, and an ink tank unit containing ink to be supplied to the recording head unit, a lid element for covering the inlet and outlet of the main body of the container for storing or removing the ink jet cartridge, an elastic cap member provided in the main body of the container for covering the recording head unit. 摘要： The present invention provides a recording system including a recording head for performing recording on a sheet, a first rotary member disposed at a downstream side of the recording head and contacting an unrecorded surface of the sheet on which the recording is performed by the recording head and adapted to apply a feeding force to the sheet, and a second rotary member being provided at its peripheral surface with a plurality of teeth and contacting a recorded surface of the sheet with the tips of the teeth thereof, and cooperating with the first rotary member to feed the sheet. The plural teeth of the second rotary member are staggered with other teeth in a direction transverse to a sheet feeding direction. A member is provided to clean the first and second rotary members.

摘要： In a recording apparatus such as an ink jet type recording apparatus, there are provided a recording unit for performing a recording operation on a recording material in response to a recording signal, the recording unit having a power supply for supplying power to drive the same, and a feeding unit for automatically feeding the recording material to the recording unit. This feeding unit is detachably connected to the recording unit. The recording apparatus further comprises a power supply apparatus installed on the feeding unit, capable of supplying power to the recording unit under such a condition that the feeding unit is connected to the recording unit. The recording unit can be made compact and lightweight. The recording unit is solely operable as a portable recording unit.

摘要： A recording apparatus effects a recording operation by scanning a recording medium in a predetermined direction with a recording head provided with discharge openings for recording liquid. A cap member is capable of covering a face with discharge openings of said recording head. A transmission member causes said cap member to cover said face with discharge openings in response to a motion setting said recording head to a predetermined position; and engaging members consisting of a protruding part are provided on one of said recording head and a carriage supporting said head. The protruding part engages a receiving part for said protruding part formed on the other of said recording head and said carriage, wherein said protruding part and said receiving part mutually engage at two points when said cap member covers said face with discharge openings.
