Abstract:
An electrically insulating formed channel member is made of a sheet of an electrically insulating material capable of being press formed that is cut to provide radially projecting portions. Thereafter, the sheet is press-formed to form a formed channel member including the channel portion and the projection portions and bent to extend along the inner corner of a rectangular pancake coil with the web located at the inner side of the corner curvature. The sheet material may preferably be a dray paper press board. Ripples may be provided in the sheet material prior to the step of press-forming. The moisture in the sheet material may also be adjusted prior to the step of press-forming.

Abstract:
An exposing device which radiates light on a photoconductor drum which rotates, thereby executing exposure, includes a light-emitting element unit including light-emitting element having an emission area which emits light that is generated, the emission area having a rectangular shape with a long side along a direction perpendicular to a rotational direction of the photoconductor drum, and a short side along the rotational direction, a lens unit which focuses the light, which is emitted from the emission area, on a peripheral surface of the photoconductor drum, thereby executing exposure, and forming on the peripheral surface a beam spot, and a driving circuit which causes the light-emitting element to emit light, thereby making a width of the shape of the beam spot in a direction along the rotational direction close to a width of the beam spot in a direction perpendicular to the rotational direction.
Abstract:
A printer controller 41 sets compensation values, representing the positional deviations of LED array chips 31, in a delay circuit section 68 via shift register 61 and a latch circuit 63. The shift register 69 sequentially acquires bit map data from the printer controller 41, and supplies the acquired bit map data to an AND gate 66 through the latch circuit 62. Upon receiving a strobe signal from the printer controller 41, the delay circuit section 68 supplies the received strobe signal to the AND gate 66 after a delay time corresponding to a preset compensation value has lapsed. The AND gate 66 generates drive signals each being the logical product of the input bit map data and the strobe signal, and supplies them to the LED array chips 31 through a buffer 67. The LED array chips 31 make LEDs emit light at the timings corresponding to the positional deviations so that images are formed without a positional deviation. At least one of the LED array chips is unaligned with adjacent ones of the LED array chips and preset compensation values are obtained by interpolation based on detected positional deviations of sampled ones of the LED array chips.

Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a cake-shaped decorative accessory made of a towel by setting a mount, which becomes a framework for forming a towel cloth in a cake shape, on a towel cloth, and folding the towel cloth together with the mount into a cake shape. More specifically, a cake-shaped decorative accessory made of a towel is obtained by: setting a polygonal shape mount, which has a folding piece extending from each one of sides thereof, on a towel cloth which is larger than the mount; folding the towel cloth together with the folding piece of the mount to form a folded item; and placing the folded item in a cake cup with a top face portion of the mount facing above, thus forming the folded item into a cake shape.
Abstract:
A light-emitting head of a printing apparatus includes luminescent elements on a substrate. Each of the luminescent elements includes micro-light-emitting portions. A direction of a perpendicular bisector of a straight line joining centers of each micro-light-emitting portion of each luminescent element and another micro-light-emitting portion of the same luminescent element which is nearest to the each micro-light-emitting portion is off a luminescent element adjacent to the luminescent element.

A water purifier 40 includes a flow meter 42 for measuring the cumulative flow of water through a water purification cartridge 6. The flow meter has an indicator portion 44 that rotates in response to increasing cumulative flow and a graduated portion 46 rotating about the same axis as that of the indicator portion. The graduated portion includes an insertion groove 29 for manually rotating the graduated portion in order to reset the flow meter. Because the flow meter has few part, the body of the water purifier can be made compact and its cost reduced.
