    摘要: According to the present process for producing a glass mold, a base for a glass mold to be produced is subjected to a sputtering treatment using an inert gas and graphite as a target at a mold base temperature of 250.degree.-450.degree. C., and thereby is formed on the mold base a hard carbon film having excellent adhesion to the mold base and excellent hardness and being unliable to cause fusion bonding to a molded glass article produced. Accordingly, the glass mold produced according to the present process has excellent durability and excellent glass releasability.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for producing a mold for glass press molding which comprises adopting, in the ion plating method to form an i-carbon film, a given hydrocarbon, given voltages, given temperature conditions, etc. According to the process, there could be obtained a mold for glass press molding, having an i-carbon film superior in adhesion to mold base, hardness, lubricity, etc. In this mold for glass press molding, the i-carbon film is less susceptible to peeling and glass releasability is good even after many times of press molding. Therefore, the mold can be used for glass press molding over a long period of time.

    摘要: In a method of manufacturing a shaped body, the shaped body has a surface on which a plurality of concaves-convexes are formed in parallel relation to each other in the form of straight stripes. The method comprises the steps of:(i) projecting a vertical cross-sectional configuration of the shaped body, onto a thin planar plate, with an equal magnification in a horizontal direction and with an enlarged magnification in a vertical direction and, subsequently, boring or opening portions of the thin planar plate corresponding respectively to vertically elongated convex portions of the shaped body, to produce a vapor-deposition mask plate having therein openings;(ii) arranging the vapor-deposition mask plate produced by the step (1), on a planar substrate with a predetermined space left therebetween;(iii) executing vapor-deposition operation while one of the planar substrate and the vapor-deposition mask plate is fixed and the other is linearly reciprocated at a uniform velocity along a longitudinal direction of the openings, to deposit a vapor-deposition material onto the planar substrate through the openings in the vapor-deposition mask plate.

    摘要: According to the present process for producing a molded glass article, the surface of a lead oxide-containing glass material to be press molded is subjected in advance to an oxidation treatment with activated oxygen ion; thereby, there takes place no reduction reaction of lead oxide at the glass surface, at the time of press molding of the glass material, and there can be obtained a molded glass article with a clear surface. Further, there occurs no adhesion of lead to the surface of the mold used, and consequently the mold life is extended, which is very economical.
