摘要: A wrapping construction of an absorbent article includes a sanitary napkin 2 as an absorbent article including a body 3, and a pair of left and right wing portions 4,4 disposed on opposing left and right sides of the body 3. The body 3 is provided on a skin non-contacting surface 32 side thereof with a body adhesive portion 37. Each of the wing portions 4,4 is provided on a skin non-contacting surface 32 side thereof with a wing adhesive portion 41. The construction further includes a wrapping material 5 for individually wrapping the sanitary napkin. The method of making the wrapping construction includes the steps of: the wing portions 4,4 being folded towards a skin contacting surface side 31 of the body 3; the body adhesive portion 37 being in contact with and peelably adhered to an inner surface 54 of the wrapping material 5; the wrapping material 5 being allowed to extend at opposing left and right side edge portions 52, 52 and a front end edge 51 thereof outwardly of opposing side edges 3b, 3b and a front end edge 3a of the body 3, respectively; the sanitary napkin 2 and the wrapping material 5 being folded by gradually folding from rear end edge sides 3c thereof with the skin contacting surface 31 sides facing inwardly; and an outer surface 55 of the wrapping material 5, with which the end edge side 3c of the body 3 being in contact, being peelably adhered to said wing adhesive portions 37.

摘要: An absorbent article has a substantially elongated shape and includes a topsheet 2, a backsheet 3, and an absorbent member 4. The topsheet 2 includes a sheet member which has one surface 2a exhibiting hydrophobic properties and another surface 2b exhibiting hydrophilic properties. The one surface of the topsheet is a skin contactable surface, and the other surface faces the absorbent member 4. The backsheet serves as an anti-leakage sheet and is disposed at opposing longitudinal side portions of an upper surface of the absorbent article inwardly from side edges 1a of the absorbent member so that the backsheet forms a pair of hydrophobic areas A. Each of the hydrophobic areas A has a continuous or discontinuous sealed portion 10 formed by sealing the topsheet 2 and the backsheet 3 along each inner edge A' of each hydrophobic areas A. A body fluid retaining portion 20 is provided at a location lying outside of the sealed portion 10 on the skin contactable surface of the absorbent article. The body fluid retaining portion 10 is formed by folding the topsheet 2 so that the hydrophilic surface 2b forms the inside of the fold.

摘要: An absorbent article comprising a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and a liquid retentive absorbent layer is disclosed. The absorbent layer comprises a superabsorbent polymer and hydrophilic fiber or foam that does not swell with water or hydrophilic fiber or foam that has a water retention of 0.7 g/g or less when it is swollen with water and then dewatered by centrifugation. The absorbent article has a physiological saline fixing ratio of 90% or more when it absorbs 10 g of physiological saline and, after 5 minutes, is dewatered by centrifugation.

摘要: An absorbent article which comprises an absorbent element which at least partially comprises an absorbent sheet A prepared by applying a pressure-sensitive adhesive 3 having a suitable adhesive power to an absorbent material 1 having a suitable liquid-absorbent (or retentive) power in the form of dot, line or curve (spiral curve or the like) with the pressure-sensitive adhesive in a suitable density; spreading an absorbent polymer 2 thereon; putting another sheet of the absorbent material 1 thereon, and compressing the assemblage into a composite structure. In the course of the absorption of a liquid, the liquid is first stocked in the absorbent material having a high initial absorption velocity, and is gradually transferred to the absorbent polymer by capillary power as the driving force and absorbed therein, while the absorbent polymer is prevented from falling off from the absorbent material by the pressure-sensitive adhesive, whereby the properties of the absorbent polymer can be exhibited to the fullest.
