摘要: An object of the invention is to provide a material comprising ultrafine cellulose fibers, having good dispersibility of fine particles in an aqueous medium containing ultrafine cellulose fibers. According to the invention, there is provided a material comprising ultrafine cellulose fibers, wherein the content of the ultrafine cellulose fibers is 80% by mass or more, and the haze value of a sample, which has been prepared by adding the material comprising ultrafine cellulose fibers to pure water to a solid concentration of 0.4% by mass, and stirring the mixture with a disperser under conditions of 1500 rpm and 5 minutes, is 20% or less.

摘要: Methods of forming crosslinked cellulose include mixing a crosslinking agent with an aqueous mixture of cellulose fibers containing little to no excess water (e.g., solids content of 25-55%), drying the resulting mixture to 85-100% solids, then curing the dried mixture to crosslink the cellulose fibers. Systems include a mixing unit to form, from an aqueous mixture of unbonded cellulose fibers having a solids content of about 25-55% and a crosslinking agent, a substantially homogenous mixture of non-crosslinked, unbonded cellulose fibers and crosslinking agent; a drying unit to dry the substantially homogenous mixture to a consistency of 85-100%; and a curing unit and to cure the crosslinking agent to form dried and cured crosslinked cellulose fibers. Intrafiber crosslinked cellulose pulp fibers produced by such methods and/or systems have a chemical on pulp level of about 2-14% and an AFAQ capacity of at least 12.0 g/g.

摘要: Disclosed is a method for producing nanocelluloses from a cellulose substrate including cellulose fibers, the method including the following sequence of steps: a step of enzymatic treatment of the cellulose substrate, by bringing same into contact with at least one cleaving enzyme, then a step of mechanical treatment of the cellulose substrate subjected to the step of enzymatic treatment, in order to delaminate the cellulose fibres and obtain the nanocelluloses. The at least one cleaving enzyme is chosen from the enzymes belonging to the family of lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs) capable of achieving cleavage in the presence of an electron donor. Also disclosed are the nanocelluloses obtained according to the method.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for the production of a bulky multi-layer paperboard comprising a middle layer produced from a cured pulp product produced by a method comprising the steps of: i) providing a first aqueous pulp slurry comprising cellulosic fibres and having a pulp consistency of from 0.1% to 40% by weight, calculated as dry weight of the cellulosic fibres in the first pulp slurry; ii) adding to the first pulp slurry an aluminium metal salt comprising Al3+-ions to a total molar concentration of aluminium ions of from 0.0001 M to 0.5 M in the first pulp slurry; iii) adjusting the pH of the first pulp slurry to a pH of from pH 3.0 to pH 6.0; iv) dewatering and curing the first pulp slurry at a temperature of at least 60° C. and thus provide a cured pulp product.

The method can be a one step acidic, iron catalyzed peroxide treatment process that can be incorporated into a single stage of a multi-stage bleaching process. The products can be chemical cellulose feedstocks, microcrystalline cellulose feedstocks, fluff pulps and products made from them.

摘要: A process for producing an oxidized nanofibrillar cellulose hydrogel is disclosed, wherein the process comprises oxidizing cellulose pulp fibers in the presence of hypochlorite as an oxidant and a heterocyclic nitroxyl radical as a catalyst; and disintegrating the oxidized cellulose pulp fibers to obtain a nanofibrillar cellulose hydrogel; wherein all steps of the process after oxidizing are performed under aseptic conditions. An oxidized nanofibrillar cellulose hydrogel and a system for producing the same are also disclosed.
