    摘要: A display apparatus having a display pixel unit including a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, a first driving circuit for outputting a control signal to the pixels to turn the pixels ON, the control signal depending on gray-scale information of display data, and a second driving circuit outputting a ramp waveform signal for turning the pixels on a line ON in accordance with a time-period of a scanning time-period and a scanning signal of turning the pixels on the line OFF. The ramp waveform signal includes a first ramp waveform signal and a second ramp waveform signal, and the second driving circuit outputs alternately the first and second ramp waveform signals to the pixels in accordance with the time-period of the scanning time-period.

    摘要: An active matrix type liquid crystal display apparatus includes a display pixel unit including a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix; a data signal driving circuit for outputting a gray-scale voltage control signal to the pixels and having a pulse width in accordance with gray-scale information of display data, a scan signal driving circuit for outputting at least one of an active voltage and inactive voltage to the pixels, and a gray-scale voltage selecting circuit for outputting a gray-scale voltage to the pixels. The gray-scale voltage in increased and decreased in accordance with time. Each of the pixels includes a liquid crystal cell and a switching element having a drain terminal, a common terminal and a gate terminal. The gate terminal is connected to the data signal driving circuit through a gate electrode, the common terminal is connected to the scan signal driving circuit through a common electrode, and the drain terminal is connected to the gray-scale voltage selecting circuit through a drain electrode.

    摘要: A data electrode driving circuit, a scanning electrode driving circuit, a liquid crystal display unit and a driving method thereof for attaining simultaneous scanning and driving of a plurality of rows in a passive matrix type liquid crystal display unit. A scanning electrode driving circuit includes a scanning function generating circuit for generating scanning functions for m rows. A scanning voltage is selected by the scanning function and a driving voltage is supplied to the scanning electrode. On the other hand, a data electrode driving circuit includes shift registers for m rows. The shift registers produce display data for m rows taken therein at the same time. The display data for m rows and the scanning function produced by the scanning electrode driving circuits are subjected to comparison operation. One level of m+1 level voltages is selected in accordance with the operation result and is supplied to the data electrode. The liquid crystal panel performs display in accordance with the voltage for the scanning electrode and the voltage for the data electrode.
