Abstract:
A method of recovering substantially rare earth elements (REEs) from magnets, including first dissolving a magnet to yield a solution containing Nd, Pr, and Dy, and then equilibrating a first column with Cu2+ solution to yield a first equilibrated column, introducing the solution to the first equilibrated column, and introducing a ligand solution to the first equilibrated column to establish three bands of different liquid compositions in the column, wherein the three bands comprise a Dy/Nd mixed band, a first pure Nd band, and a Nd/Pr mixed band. Next, sending the Dy/Nd mixed band to a second column containing a Cu2+ solution and introducing a ligand solution to the second column to establish a pure Dy band and a second pure Nd band in the second column, and sending the Nd/Pr mixed band to a third column containing a Cu2+ solution and introducing a ligand solution to the third column to establish a third pure Nd band and a pure Pr band in the third column. Finally, eluting the respective pure Nd bands to recover Nd, eluting the pure Dy band to recover Dy, and eluting the pure Pr band to recover Pr.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for obtaining an uplink transmit power control parameter, where the method is applicable to a radio communication system using a CoMP transmission technology and includes: obtaining, by an base station, a downlink path loss of a serving cell serving for a UE and a sum of a each difference between a downlink path loss of each coordinated cell serving for the UE and the downlink path loss of the serving cell; obtaining, by the base station, a downlink path loss of the UE in a coordinated multi-point transmission environment and a transmit power control command of the UE in the coordinated multi-point transmission environment according to the downlink path loss of the serving cell and the sum of differences between downlink path losses. Thereby, the reduction of cell throughput and waste of UE power consumption is avoided.
Abstract:
A method of forming strained source and drain regions in a P-type FinFET structure is disclose. The method comprises depositing an isolation layer on the FinFET structure; applying a lithography and etching process to expose the isolation layer in two areas on opposite sides of the gate over the source/drain region of the FinFET, and etching through the exposed isolation layer to expose the semiconductive material of the source/drain region in the two areas; forming a recess in each of the source/drain region from the exposed semiconductive material; selectively epitaxially growing another semiconductive material in the recesses to increase the source/drain strain; and removing the rest of the isolation layer.
Abstract:
The systems and method herein provide a design logic that extends Distributed Scan Management (DSM) by integrating the scan setting features of a network scanner with DSM and enhances DSM by providing a means for quickly locating Post Scan Processes (PSP) based on specified search criteria. In this regard, a network scanner is controllable via the PSPs of a DSM protocol. A user interface of the network scanner is operable to receive login information associated with a user that is used to grant access to one or more of the PSPs. The network scanner also includes a storage module operable to store scanner software instructions that direct a processor to determine whether the one or more accessed PSPs have settings that are overrideable and present the one or more accessed PSPs to the user for selection. The user may then override settings of a selected PSP via the user interface.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed for operating an electrochemical gas sensor with a measuring electrode pair and a pumping electrode pair. The method includes obtaining a measurement of the interfering species at a location spatially adjacent to a measuring electrode of the measuring electrode pair; and adjusting one or more of an operation or an output processing of the electrochemical gas sensor based on the measurement of the interfering species. In this manner, the measurement of the interfering species may be used to adjust the removal rates of the interfering species and/or to adjust an offset of an analyte measurement to compensate for the presence of the interfering species.
Abstract:
A system for calibrating a response to an exhaust-stream NOx level in a motor vehicle is provided. The system comprises a NOx sensor that includes an electrode, a current from the electrode responsive to the exhaust-stream NOx level while a bias voltage is applied to the electrode. The system further comprises a controller configured to interrupt the bias voltage and to adjust a motor-vehicle response to the current based at least partly on an attained voltage of the electrode while the bias voltage is interrupted. Other embodiments provide a method of calibrating a NOx sensor response in terms of gain and offset parameters.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for scanning documents when a network is not available are provided. The document scans at least an entire page of a document for a user. If the document scanner identifies that the network is not available, the document scanner stores the scanned document in a repository at the document scanner. The document scanner also identifies when the network is available again. In response, the document scanner retrieves the stored scan document and sends the retrieved scan document to a destination computer over the network.
Abstract:
A technique is provided for dynamically extending a network device manager when a new device and/or service are added to a network. A technique for extending a rule set associated with the management system is also provided. A service discovery module discovers a new network device on a network. A service operation module (SOM) is generated for the network device. The SOM provides an interface for a management module (MM) to communicate with the network device. The SOM provides data, corresponding to the service provided by the network device, to the MM. When a client sends the MM a request for a service provided by the network device, the MM provides the service request to the SOM which forwards the request to the network device. Users of the network device manager may define rules for a network device after the network device is added to the network, wherein the MM issues a service request of a network device in response to receiving an event notification.
Abstract:
Providing data statistics includes receiving property information of selected products input by users, searching and locating a Standard Property Union (SPU) corresponding to the property information in a database, the SPU comprising a set of one or more products sharing a set of one or more properties, generating behavior data, including by summarizing a cumulative number of behavioral instances associated with each product in the set of products included in the SPU, and outputting the behavior data.
Abstract:
A support structure for supporting and protecting the diaphragm of loudspeaker includes a first elastomer which has a first interface with a camber shape, a second elastomer which has a second interface with a complemental shape of the first interface, the first elastomer and the second elastomer combine together from both sides of the support part of the loudspeaker diaphragm. The separate support structure in the present invention is fit for many kinds of loudspeakers and propitious to increase the technical characteristics of loudspeakers.
