The computer is for obtaining color template intervals based on a statistical theory, rotating the magnified image when necessary, obtaining transverse mask codes and longitudinal mask codes of magnified image pixels, obtaining a color transverse mask code matrix of sub-pixels of the inspected LCD panel, and determining whether the sub-pixels of the inspected LCD panel are defective according to the color transverse mask matrix. A related method for inspecting an LCD is also provided.
