    摘要: In a manufacturing method of a disk-driving spindle motor, a disc-support member includes a base portion and a positioning portion. The disc-support member is fixed to a hub member. The base portion is in contact with a lower surface of a disc. The positioning portion extends axially upwardly from the base portion, and is disposed around the center axis. The positioning portion is in contact with an inner circumferential face or an inner circumferential rim of the disc.The disc-support member is preferably made from a resin material having a cutting resistance smaller than that of a metal material from which the hub member is made.

    摘要: A bearing device includes a shaft, a sleeve and a thrust plate. The shaft includes a convex portion having a curved surface provided at one end thereof. The sleeve includes an inner circumferential surface opposed to an outer circumferential surface of the shaft. The thrust plate includes a concave portion having a curved surface and arranged to make contact with the convex portion of the shaft. The shaft is supported by the sleeve and the thrust plate such that it may rotate about the central axis with respect to the sleeve and the thrust plate. A curvature radius of the concave portion is greater than a curvature radius of the convex portion but equal to or smaller than about 2.0 times of the curvature radius of the convex portion.

    摘要: A particle beam therapy system that is capable of irradiating a target area with an irradiation beam suitable for a particle beam therapy using a spot scanning method includes a synchrotron, a beam transport system and an irradiation device. The beam transport system is provided with a beam interrupting device adapted to block supply of a charged particle beam to the irradiation device. The beam interrupting device has a beam shielding magnet, an exciting power supply for the beam shielding magnet and a beam dump. The beam transport system has a bending magnet. The beam shielding magnet is provided on an inlet side of the bending magnet. The beam dump is provided on an outlet side of the bending magnet. A controller controls the exciting power supply to control the timing of an operation of the beam shielding magnet.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a particle beam therapy system which includes a synchrotron which accelerates beams of charged particles to a desired energy level and permits extraction of the beams of charged particles exceeding the stability limit, an irradiation device which irradiates an object with the beams of charged particles, a beam transport system which conducts the beams of charged particles extracted from the synchrotron to the irradiation device, and a control unit which works in such a way as to remove part of the beams of charged particles circling in the synchrotron and allow the rest of the circling beams of charged particles to be extracted from the synchrotron and conducted to the irradiation device. The particle beam therapy system produces irradiation beams suitable for high-precision particle beam therapy by the spot scanning method or the like.
