An ink to be used in an ink jet recording method of ejecting an ink from a recording head through action of thermal energy can improve the ink ejection stability and shows a high storage stability and a high color developability. An ink to be used in an ink jet recording method of ejecting an ink from a recording head through action of thermal energy is characterized in that the ink comprises a pigment represented by the general formula (1), a dispersant, a water-soluble organic compound and an aggregation inhibiting substance for inhibiting aggregation after dispersion breakdown of the pigment, and the content (mass %) of the aggregation inhibiting substance with respect to the total mass of ink is 0.4 times or more to less than 1.3 times of the content (mass %) of the pigment with respect to the total mass of ink

In an inkjet printing apparatus, when a printing is performed by generating the reacting so that, on the printing sheet, permeation of an ink solvent is delayed to prevent that the fixing time is prolonged thereby. A printing sheet is sucked by the comparatively weak suction force in a degree in which the sheet is tightly contacted with the pore of the platen. Hereby, insolubilized or coagulated coloring matters and the ink solvent except the reactive radical component or water on the sheet are sucked together into the sheet, and then the forcible permeation condition is formed. As a result, the fixing time is shorter than in a case where there is no suction, and the fixing by the reactive system ink-set can be accelerated.

A liquid discharge method through a liquid discharge head provided with a liquid flow path having a bubble generating area, in which a bubble is generated from liquid; a heater for generating heat energy to generate and grow the bubble; a discharge port which communicates to the liquid flow path and is a portion for discharging the liquid; a movable member provided in the bubble generating area, having a free end which shifts along with growth of the bubble; and a liquid flow regulating portion for regulating liquid flow in a direction opposite to the discharge port in a displacement process of the movable member and the growth of the bubble, having a step of forming space substantially closed in the liquid flow path having the bubble generating area except for the discharge port by bringing the free end of the movable member in the displacement process, close to the liquid flow regulating portion without substantially contacting each other.

An ink contains a plurality of pigments and a plurality of polymers. The plurality of pigments include C.I. pigment yellow 4 and C.I. pigment yellow 128. The plurality of polymers include a polymer A and a polymer B. The C.I. pigment yellow 74 is dispersed by the polymer A. The C.I. pigment yellow 128 is dispersed by the polymer B. A hydrogen bond parameter YA of a unit having the smallest hydrogen bond parameter of the constitutional units of the polymer A and a hydrogen bond parameter YB of a unit having the smallest hydrogen bond parameter of the constitutional units of the polymer B satisfy the relationship of YA
