摘要: A wide area network (50) connects a WLAN base station apparatus (60) and a content supply apparatus (510). The content supply apparatus (510) stores communication contents prepared in a broadcasting format. The WLAN base station apparatus (60) acquires and stores contents from the content supply apparatus (510) through the wide area network (50). The WLAN base station apparatus (60) converts the format of the contents to be distributed and distributes the converted contents using a WLAN method. The WLAN base station apparatus (60) transmits connection setting information and content information to an information distribution apparatus (520). The connection setting information includes information for connection of the terminal apparatus (30) to the WLAN base station apparatus (60). A terminal apparatus (30) acquires the connection setting information and the content information from the information distribution apparatus (520). The terminal apparatus (30) carries out a connection processing to connect with the WLAN base station apparatus (60), using the acquired connection setting information.

摘要: An identifier generator generates a second identifier containing information on contents. The second identifier is different from a first identifier used to grant a connection request sent from a terminal apparatus. A beacon transmitter transmits the second identifier, generated by the identifier generator, as a beacon. A connection processing unit permits the connection request by the first identifier stored beforehand in the terminal apparatus, and rejects the connection request by the second identifier. A base station apparatus generates the first identifier containing address information used to access a server apparatus, as an identifier used to permit a connection request sent from the terminal apparatus. The base station apparatus transmits, as beacons, a first identifier and a second identifier used to identify the base station itself. The terminal apparatus acquires the address information contained in the received first identifier, conveys the second identifier to the server apparatus identified by the address information, and acquires information on the contents distributed by the base station apparatus.

摘要: A content receiver receives content data distributed repeatedly from a distribution station. The content data are stored in a content storage. A reproduction processing unit sequentially reproduces parts of the content data stored in the storage corresponding to content data received by the content receiver. A content management unit monitors the degree of completion of the content data stored. When the monitored degree of completion becomes a preset level or above, a connection processing unit disconnects connection to the distribution station. After the connection has been disconnected, an identifier receiver receives reproduction information informed from the distribution station. The reproduction processing unit reproduces the content data according to the reproduction information.

摘要: An image reading apparatus of the present invention includes a document placing unit on which a document is placed, a light source unit in which light sources are arrayed in a depth direction, a light source drive unit that drives the light sources, and a light source control unit that controls so that the light sources are divided into a plurality of groups to be driven. An image sensor is provided at a position capable of receiving light emitted from the light sources and reflected by the document on the document placing unit. Further, the document size is detected through detection of a position of an edge of the document from an output signal from the image sensor. Then, the light source drive unit is controlled so that, when the image is to be read, the light sources are activated to illuminate the document.

摘要: A high speed transmission connector including several signal contact pairs arranged in a parallel array, each including a pair of signal contacts constituting a balanced transmission line; several ground contacts, each being arranged between two signal contact pairs arranged in the parallel array; and an electro-insulating body supporting the signal contact pairs and the ground contacts. Each signal contact is provided with a contacting section at one longitudinal end for conductive contact with a corresponding signal contact of a counterpart connector, a board connecting section at another longitudinal end for connection with a conductor on a circuit board, and an attaching section between the contacting section and the board connecting section for an attachment to the body. All of the board connecting sections of the signal contacts are disposed along a first lateral surface of the body. The signal contacts of the signal contact pairs are individually covered, at least partially, by materials having dielectric constants different from each other, in certain regions defined between board connecting sections and attaching sections.
