摘要： An array substrate and a display apparatus including the array substrate are provided. The array substrate includes a substrate divided into a display area and a peripheral area adjacent to the display area. A pixel array is formed on the substrate corresponding to the display area and receives a driving signal. A driving circuit includes a plurality of stages and is formed on the substrate corresponding to the peripheral area. Each of the stages includes a first transistor having a source electrode connected to an output terminal to output the driving signal, a channel layer formed between a gate insulating layer and the source electrode, the channel layer having an opening to facilitate contact between a portion of the gate insulating layer and the source electrode, and a capacitor defined by a gate electrode of the first transistor, the source electrode, and the gate insulating layer contacting the source electrode.

摘要： A display apparatus includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a driver chip. The first substrate includes a plurality of gate lines disposed in the display area and extended in a first direction, a plurality of data lines disposed on a gate insulating layer insulating the gate lines and extended in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction, and a gate driving circuit section disposed in the first peripheral area adjacent to first ends of the gate lines. The second substrate is opposite to the first substrate. A liquid crystal is interposed between the first and second substrates. The driver chip is disposed in the second peripheral area adjacent to second ends of the gate lines opposite to the first ends so that the width of the upper and lower portions of the display area may be decreased.

摘要： A thin film transistor panel includes an insulating substrate including a display area and a peripheral area. A plurality of pixels is defined by a plurality of data lines that cross a plurality of gate lines. A pixel electrode is formed in each of the pixels. A plurality of dummy pixels is defined by a dummy data line that crosses the plurality of gate lines. A dummy pixel electrode is formed in each of the dummy pixels, and a thin film transistor including a gate electrode, a source electrode, a drain electrode, and a semiconductor. The thin film transistor display panel reduces or prevents a difference in brightness between pixels caused by a difference of coupling capacitance between the data line adjacent to the peripheral area and the other data lines.

The display substrate includes a first conductive line on an insulating substrate. A storage capacitor line is on the insulating substrate. A storage capacitor line extends substantially parallel to the first conductive line. A second conductive line, which is also on the insulating substrate, extends in a direction different from the first conductive line and defines a pixel with the first conductive line. A light blocking pattern extends from the first conductive line, overlapping the second conductive line. A switching element is electrically connected to the first and second conductive lines and includes a drain electrode that is positioned on the storage capacitor line to form a storage capacitor. A pixel electrode is electrically connected to the drain electrode.

摘要： A display substrate includes a substrate, a guard ring and a connecting line. The substrate includes a plurality of active areas, and each of the active areas has a pixel area and a peripheral area. The guard ring is formed on the substrate to enclose each of the active areas, and is formed from substantially the same layer as a pixel electrode that is formed in a unit pixel. The connecting line is formed from a different layer than the guard ring, to electrically connect the guard ring with pads. The connecting line is formed before forming an organic insulating layer, and thus the frequency and/or severity of patterning defects of the connecting line may be reduced or prevented. Accordingly, short circuits between the pads may be prevented, and the corrosion resistance of the display apparatus may be increased.
