    摘要: A countercurrent liquid-solid contacting apparatus having combined filtering and regenerating columns stacked one above the other. The filtering column has a liquid inlet and outlet, a liquid medium to be filtered being supplied into the filtering column through the liquid inlet and discharged to the outside through the liquid outlet after having passed upwardly through a bed of filtering material within the filtering column. The regenerating column has its bottom end opening into the filtering column and supplies a filtering material in an amount necessary to compensate for a reduction in the amount of the filtering material within the filtering column each time a portion of the filtering material in a lower region of the filtering column is withdrawn and then transported back into the regenerating column. Since the regenerating column is a closed vessel, pipe lines sealed to the atmosphere by liquid medium extending outwardly from the liquid outlet and also from the regenerating column have a predetermined relationship with each other.

    摘要: A countercurrent liquid-solid contacting apparatus comprises a liquid purifying column for substantially purifying a liquid by passing the liquid upwardly through a bed of purifying material and a regenerating column for regenerating the purifying material used to purify the liquid. The liquid purifying column includes supply and transfer ports defined respectively at the top and bottom thereof and has therein the bed of purifying material which is spaced a predetermined distance from the top of the liquid treating column to provide a vacant space. The purifying column further includes a liquid inlet and outlet with a portion of the purifying bed above the liquid outlet serving as a settling layer to avoid any possible fluidization and/or expansion of the purifying material. The regenerating column is similar in construction to the construction of the purifying column, however, compressed air and washing liquid are successively or simultaneously supplied into the regenerating colunn to fluidize the soiled purifying material to separate suspended solids from the soiled purifying particles. The regenerated purifying material is continuously or intermittently supplied into the purifying column. A method therefor is also disclosed.

    摘要: A hemodialysis system for use with any type of dialyzer, such as coil-type, Kiil-type and capillary-type or hollow fiber-type dialyzers, which has a fluid circulation circuit and a bypass circuit short-circuiting the fluid circulation circuit. At one junction between the fluid circulation circuit and the bypass circuit, an ejector is employed. The ejector has a nozzle, a diffuser axially aligned with the nozzle and defining an orifice and a suction chamber communicated with the orifice. During circulation of the dialysate in the circulation circuit and from the nozzle onto the diffuser of the ejector, a negative gauge pressure is developed in the suction chamber so that the dialysate can be drawn through the bypass circuit. The circulation circuit and the bypass circuit have respective coupling assemblies for removable connection with the coil-type dialyzer and with the Kiil-type or capillary-type, or hollow fiber-type, dialyzer.

    摘要: An apparatus for continuously manufacturing a sheet of molded compound includes a first conveying unit for continuously conveying a lower film. First and second impregnation rollers are provided above the lower film for impregnating a viscous material and a solid material to obtain a compound mixture to be dropped onto the lower film. First and second scraping rollers are provided below the first and second impregnation rollers to scrape the compound mixture from the impregnation rollers. A scattering roller is provided below the first impregnation roller upstream from the first scraping roller relative the feed direction of the lower film. The scattering roller is positioned to act upon rotation to prevent scattering of portions of the composite mixture caused at least in part by the first scraping roller. A second conveying unit is provided for conveying an upper film. Included in the second conveying unit is a guide roller positioned below the second impregnation unit downstream the second scraping roller relative the feed direction of the lower film. The guide roller is positioned with the upper film disposed thereabout to prevent scattering of portions of the composite mixture caused at least in part by the second scrapping roller. Supply pipes are provided for supplying the viscous material which are disposed above the first and second impregnation rollers. Each supply pipe includes a plurality of openings which have varying opening areas to compensate for a decrease in an internal pressure of the supply pipe as the viscous material flows within the supply pipe.
