摘要: A radio base station in a CDMA mobile communication system for allocating radio channels to mobile stations at a plurality of different bit rates. The base station including a storage part for storing a maximum number of radio channels that makes a signal-to-interference noise power ratio for each channel greater than a predetermined value. The maximum number having a value which changes in steps depending on a bit rate used for a call presently made. A control part for reading the maximum value stored in the storage part and allocating radio channels to the mobile stations in a range that does not exceed the maximum value.

摘要: An electrical program guide system and method by which a desired program can be selected rapidly with certainty, intuitively and directly from among a large number of programs, in which nine reduced screens reduced from nine screens of different programs are arranged in a 3.times.3 matrix to construct one multi-screen as a screen for program selection. Six such screens for program selection are individually produced by multi-screen production circuits and encoded by MPEG video encoders, and then multiplexed by a multiplexer so that they may be transmitted via a single transmission channel. The multiplexed signal is subjected to error correction coding and QPSK modulation by a transmission line coding apparatus and then it is further subjected to frequency conversion by an up converter. The resultant signal is transmitted to an artificial satellite through a mixer and a parabola antenna. Each multi-screen received on the reception side from the satellite is displayed as 3.times.3 pieces of reduced screens of full motion, and a viewer will find out and directly select a desired program from a preview screen formed from the reduced screens.

摘要: A phase locked loop for extracting an output signal synchronized with an input signal. The present invention is structured so that a phase locked loop can prevent loss of control due to high frequency noise generated by a level conversion circuit in the feedback loop after oscillation of the VCO has stopped due to a failure. The phase locked loop includes an exchange circuit connected between an output of the phase detector and an input to the feedback loop. When the exchange circuit determines that the output of the phase detector is below a reference voltage, it applies a signal having a frequency which is lower than that of the input signal to the phase detector in place of a signal from a frequency divider in the feedback loop. In such a case, the phase detector outputs a pulse signal which restarts oscillation of the VCO and leads to normal phase control operation.

摘要: A wireless communication system capable of using a plurality of frequency channels in a first predetermined frequency band being adjacent a second predetermined frequency band used in another wireless communication system, the wireless communication system includes a base station and a mobile station. The base station sends a notification for limiting each power of the plurality of frequency channels to the mobile station. The mobile station transmits data to the base station by the use of at least one of the frequency channel, and controlling data transmitting power based upon the notification. When the frequency channel for the data transmitting need more transmitting power and the frequency channel for the data transmitting is adjacent to the second predetermined frequency band, the mobile station change the frequency channel for the data transmitting.
