摘要: A fuel injection control system for an internal combustion engine equipped with a heater for heating an air-fuel mixture in cold engine start. In the system, the timing to cease injection is first obtained by the coolant temperature and the engine load. The value is then deferred by an amount if the heater is turned on. The amount increases as the heater on-time increases. Then an injection period is added to the timing to cease injection and another timing to commence injection is determined. Thus, the injection timing is deferred if an air-fuel mixture is heated so as to minimize the residence time of the heated fuel. This ensures that the fuel will be quickly drawn to the cylinder to be burnt completely and the composition of the gas is thus improved.

摘要: In order to appropriately control the temperature state of multiple equipment having differing management temperatures, while preventing complication of the apparatus structure, a cooling apparatus for a hybrid vehicle is provided with a seventh flow path 30g which flows coolant which has flowed only through a main flow path 22a of a radiator 22 to a water jacket 25 via a first thermostat 23 which has an induction temperature set relatively high; an eighth flow path 30h which flows coolant which has flowed through the main flow path 22a and a sub flow path 22b of the radiator 22 to the water jacket 25 via a second thermostat 24 which has an induction temperature set relatively low, and also supplies the coolant to a PDU 14 and a downverter 15; and a bypass flow path 30j which connects a fifth flow path 30e which supplies coolant discharged from the water jacket 25 to the radiator 22, and a position of the eighth flow path 30h on a downstream side of the second thermostat 24.

摘要: The knee-protecting airbag device includes an airbag that protrudes rearward from a housing and deploys upward when fed with inflation gas. The airbag includes an upstream part located toward lower end of the completely inflated airbag and located upstream of inflation gas, and a downstream part located toward upper end of the completely inflated airbag and located downstream of inflation gas. The downstream part is adapted to protect an area from shins to knees of an occupant when the airbag is completely inflated. In the course of airbag inflation, internal pressure of a shin-protecting area, which is part of the downstream part for protecting shins, peaks 5 to 15 ms later than a peak time of internal pressure of the upstream part.

摘要: In a head protection airbag device according to the invention, non-inflating portions of an airbag includes a blocking portion which covers the vehicle interior side of windows when inflation of the airbag is completed. One blocking portion includes a downward movement inhibiting portion catching a passenger's head and inhibiting its downward movement when the head moves downward while moving toward the vehicle exterior and touches the blocking portion when inflation of the airbag is completed. The blocking portion comprises overlapping vehicle interior side and the vehicle exterior side portions which are mutually connected, with a portion of a vehicle interior member by the upper edge made to be the downward movement inhibiting portion. The downward movement inhibiting portion is connected at both the front and rear edges to the vehicle exterior member of the blocking portion, allowing the upper edge of the downward movement inhibiting portion to be a catching edge which can be separated from the vehicle exterior member when catching the head.

摘要: In an airbag device of the invention, by making use of a retainer which is made up of a retaining part which is provided on an outside of an inflator and bolt parts, an airbag and the inflator are fixed to a fixing wall portion of a case by fastening nuts onto the bolt parts which are caused to protrude from the fixing wall portion of the case in such a state the retaining part is housed within the airbag. A support projection is formed on the fixing wall portion in such a manner as to protrude therefrom toward the inflator side. When the nuts are fastened, the retainer moves the retaining part toward the fixing wall portion side, so that the inflator is held between and retained by abutment portions formed on the retaining part and the support projection.

摘要: The knee protecting airbag device is assembled such that a retainer and an attachment bracket clamp the peripheral portion of a gas inlet opening of an airbag, bag holding wall parts of a case, and a gas providing inflator. This inflator is provided with a diffuser for covering the gas discharge port of a body. The retainer and the attachment bracket are connected by inserting bolts and connecting members through the airbag and the case, by retaining retaining portions on the retaining portions of the connecting members, and by inserting the bolts into through holes and fastening them with nuts. At this connecting time, guide portions of the retainer and the diffuser are fitted on each other to form a guide passage for guiding the gas into the airbag.

摘要: A knee protection airbag apparatus of this invention has an airbag having a construction in which folded and accommodated below the area in front of the knees of a passenger who is seated, and inflates upward toward the rear of the vehicle so as to be capable of protecting the knees of the passenger, when an inflating gas is inserted. The airbag includes a knee protection inflation portion which is disposed on the upper side of the airbag after completion of inflation and which is capable of protecting both knees of the passenger, and a shin facing portion disposed below the knee protection inflation portion after completion of inflation, in an area extending substantially vertically so as to be at the position of both shins of the passenger. Gas flow paths are disposed within both right and left edge sides of the airbag and can cause the inflating gas flowing at the lower part of the airbag to flow towards the knee protection inflation portion while inhibiting the shin facing portion from greatly inflating in the initial stage of inflation of the airbag.

摘要: An air bag mounted in an automotive steering wheel and having a bag body and flow regulation fabric mounted within the bag body. The bag body includes a front panel and a rear panel and is a horizontally symmetrical, planar bag body. The front panel is provided with a gas inlet port. The flow regulation fabric branches from the gas inlet port into radially extending right and left passages that run to the outer fringes of the bag body. Circumferentially extending passages of the flow regulation fabric extend from the front ends of the radially extending passages along the fringes of the bag body vertically, and are each provided with upper and lower opening ends at which gas can be ejected toward the vertical centerline of the bag body. Upon expansion, the air bag quickly enters between the occupant's abdomen and the rim of the steering wheel.

The airbag has three shielding portions, and includes a dividing recess between the third shielding portion and second shielding portion. In the event that the third shielding portion engages the folded seat during the course of airbag deployment, the dividing recess separates the lower edge of a region between the second shielding portion and the third shielding portion, so that the second shielding portion is not hindered from smooth development.
