摘要: An open-end spinning machine having a plurality of spinning units (5) arranged side by side in a row extending in the longitudinal direction of the spinning machine. Each of the spinning units (5) has a filter (11) disposed at the front surface thereof and extending for substantially the entire width thereof. All the filters (11) arranged on the spinning units (5) disposed at one side of the spinning machine lie on a substantially identical imaginary plane slightly upwardly inclined from a horizontal plane when seen from the front to the rear. Each spinning unit includes a duct means (13) having air passages (15, 23, 27, 31) extending from the openings (13a, 13b, 13c, 13d) located adjacent to the filter (11) to the upper surface of a feeding roller (25), the upper and lower surfaces of a combing roller (21), and the periphery of the combing roller (21).

摘要: A fiber bundle arranging device is provided that laminates fiber bundle layers formed of a fiber bundle. The fiber bundle is engaged with arranged pins to have straight parts. The device includes a press roller and a first moving device. The press roller includes a peripheral portion. The peripheral portion of the press roller depresses the straight parts of the fiber bundle engaged with the pins toward the roots of the pins in the vicinity of the pin. The first moving device moves the press roller in the arrangement direction of the pins such that the peripheral portion sequentially intersects the straight parts of the fiber bundle. The peripheral portion is located in the front of the press roller in the moving direction, and the press roller is moved to sequentially intersect the straight parts of the fiber bundle while being inclined such that, toward the front end in the moving direction of the press roller, the distance from the roots of the pins in the laminating direction of the fiber bundle layers increases.

摘要: Two flat fiber bundles of non-twisted filaments are arranged in an overlapped relationship or in a parallel and adjoining relationship, and held by a gripper at two points spaced apart from each other in the filament-extending direction. Compressed air is injected from a nozzle to the overlapped portion of the fiber bundles between the holding points at a plurality of positions arranged in the direction transverse to the filament-extending direction to cause the adjacent filaments to be entangled. The nozzle is moved across the fiber bundles while injecting air. Filaments are thus opened and rotated by the injected air, and thus entangled. A fiber bundle joining apparatus includes support sections and a receiving section provided in a base, a gripper cooperating with the support sections to grip overlapped ends of fiber bundles therebetween, a nozzle, and a regulating member to temporarily hold the fiber bundles and to allow the lower fiber bundle to be slackened.

摘要: A three-dimensional fabric is disclosed that is appropriate for use in composite materials having various beam type shapes that are formed from a plurality of intersecting plate sections. A plurality of thread layers are woven such that they extend continuously through and between a pair of adjacent plate sections. The thread layers respectively include threads that are woven in at least two independent planar directions. The thread layers are bound together by transverse threads. When a load is applied to a plate section of a composite having this three-dimensional fabric as a frame member, the threads that extend continuously from a first plate section to a second plate section effectively receive the stress acting on the junction of the plate sections. The strength of the composite is therefore enhanced.

摘要: A three-dimensional fabric is disclosed that effectively weaves a solid member into the fabric. A multiplicity of warp strings that are arranged in a plurality of layers which extend in a lengthwise direction of the fabric. At least some of the warp strings are wrapped around the solid member. A multiplicity of bias threads are arranged in at least one symmetrical pair of bias thread layers. The bias threads are incline relative to the lengthwise direction of the fabric and the layers in the bias layer pair are symmetrically arranged relative to the lengthwise direction of the fabric. At least some of the bias threads are wrapped around the solid member. A plurality of vertical threads are provided that run substantially perpendicular relative to the warp string and the bias thread layers. The vertical threads couple the layers of the warp strings and the bias threads. In the case where the three-dimensional fabric is used as a composite, which is coupled to another member when in use, it is unnecessary to perform any mechanical processing after the composite is completed to attach a coupling part, such as a metal bushing, to the fabric.

摘要: A novel method for yarn piecing in a fasciated yarn spinning unit, in which a broken end of a yarn and the fiber bundle to be pieced together are nipped and intermingled with each other between a soft nipping area between middle top and bottom aprons and thereafter are false-twisted by a vortex in an air nozzle. Motions of the associated parts are controlled as so to be able to achieve a suitable overlapping length of the yarn and the fiber bundle in the nipping area of the aprons.

摘要: A sound reducing device in a textile machine including a plurality of spindle assemblies driven by a travelling belt and each forming a balloon of yarn upon rotation thereof. The spindle assembly comprises a first source of noise, which are the travelling belt and the spindle wharves, and a second source of noise, which are the balloon forming sections of the spindle assemblies. The sound reducing device is characterized in that one of the first and second sources of noise is covered by a first sound reducing boundary and the other of the first and second noise sources as well as the first sound reducing boundary is disposed within a second sound reducing boundary.

摘要: A connection pipe 40A is fit in an introduction pipe 34A. A guide groove 342 extends on the side of the introduction pipe 34A in the Z-axis direction. A guide screw 41 is screwed on the peripheral face of the connection pipe 40A to penetrate through a peripheral wall of the connection pipe 40A. A distal end of the guide screw 41 enters the guide groove 342. The distal end of the guide screw 41 is movable in the Z-axis direction in the guide groove 342. The connection pipe 40A is movable relative to the introduction pipe 34A in the Z-axis direction within the range of the length of the guide groove 342. The connection pipe 40A and the guide pipes 31A are moved in the Z-axis direction with an air cylinder 43. Accordingly, when fiber bundles are arranged using a plurality of guide pipes, the guide pipe is prevented from being caught by a fiber bundle drawn out of another guide pipe.
